Meghan Good and DeVon Franklin met on the 2011 comedy-drama "Jumping The Broom." They hit it off immediately, and the following year, they walked down the aisle.

For years, the couple has focused on building a marriage that has lasted close to a decade. And among their plans for the future was their desire to become parents to beautiful babies.

GETTING READY FOR BABIES

Time and time again, the couple has expressed the desire to add to their already beautiful family. In 2020, Good posted a video on her Instagram, as the "Live Free: Exceed Your Highest Expectations" author playfully rubbed her belly.

Good shared that her birthday was coming up, and she needed to stay fit and get herself ready for babies. Interestingly, that would not be the first time Good hinted that they wanted to expand their family.

During a check-in with "The Real," Good disclosed that she would take her time and wait for the right moment. Even though the actress did not say when she'd want to start trying for babies, she did not dismiss the idea that she wanted to be a mom.

She says she's always been a pet person but has never been "aspired to motherhood." She only began thinking about becoming a mom after she married Franklin.

The "Stomp The Yard" actress opened up about the stigma she and numerous other women have faced after expressing that motherhood was not for them. She said, according to TV One:

"When you say you're not sure you want to be a mom, people look at you like you're a bad person. As if something's wrong with you."

Once she hit her late 30s, the "Think Like A Man" actress decided to freeze her eggs but says due to a cyst in her uterus, only a few survived.

DIVORCE ANNOUNCEMENT

And now, the couple that has been of so much inspiration to others has split. They announced their decision to divorce in a joint statement, reported by People.

They have made the amicable decision to go into their future separately but will forever stay connected. The decision to split comes after much consideration and prayer.

"We celebrate almost a decade of marriage together and a love that is eternal. There's no one at fault. We believe this is the next best chapter in the evolution of our love." They continued.

The announcement comes only six months after Good and Franklin publicly celebrated their 9th anniversary with beautiful tributes.
