Bob Saget Left behind His Widow, Kelly Rizzo, Who Is in ‘Disbelief’ after His Sudden Passing

Popular Hollywood Comedian and TV host Bob Saget was confirmed dead after his body was found in his hotel room. The 65-year-old entertainer is survived by three kids and his wife, Kelly Rizzo, who is still in complete shock about his abrupt death.

Bob Saget was born Robert Lane Saget on May 17, 1956, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He rose to fame in Hollywood after starring as the widowed father of three girls on ABC's sitcom "Full House."

The show, which starred Jodie Sweeten, Candace Cameron Bure, and popular twins Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, aired for eight seasons and in that time became a fan favorite.

He also became the host of ABC's hit show, "America's Funniest Home Videos." Saget continued working in the television industry, and he became known to a new generation of sitcom fans when he worked as the narrator of CBS's "How I Met Your Mother."

The entertainer remained a constant figure in stand-up comedy, releasing multiple specials over the years and going on tours. In 2015, he starred in the movie "Aristocrats" and also guest-starred on HBO's "Entourage" as himself.

Away from show business, the comedian is father to three daughters, Aubrey, Lara, and Jennifer, from his first marriage to ex-wife Sherri Kramer who he met at the age of 17 while in high school.

Their marriage lasted from 1982 till 1997. The "Full House" actor unexpectedly found love again when he hooked up with food blogger Kelly Rizzo, who was 23 years his junior.

SAGET AND RIZZO'S ROMANCE

Saget's love story with Rizzo began when the comedian stumbled on her Instagram page. He was intrigued after finding out that she posted less selfies and more meaningful contents on the social media app, including a food and travel show she promoted.

The actor called a colleague of his, a radio host who works in Chicago wanting to learn more about Rizzo. Thankfully, his colleague's fiancée was able to contact Rizzo to tell her the comedian was intending to reach out to her.

Although Rizzo had no intention to reply, she changed her mind when Saget texted to invite her to his show. He also wanted them to go out for burgers and lobsters afterward, to which she agreed.

Not long after, they made their relationship public. Saget shared a picture of them eating at a diner in 2016. That same year, the comedian posted a picture of himself and Rizzo socializing with singer, John Mayer. In the caption, he referred to her as his "girlfriend."

WHO IS KELLY RIZZO?

Kelly Rizzo is the founder of the lifestyle website "Eat Travel Rock." She is also the host of "Eat Travel Rock TV," where she travels the world to showcase the works of great cooks and other creatives.

Rizzo started the show in 2014 and was named "Travel Queen" by Modern Luxury's Michigan Avenue Magazine for her jet-setting career in 2017.

The Public Relations Society of America also awarded the show Best Influencer Program for the episodes filmed on Virginia Tourism. She has also been featured as a lifestyle and travel expert by ABC, EXTRA, Bravo & VH1, and other broadcasters.

ENGAGEMENT AND WEDDING

Bob Saget was previously married to Sherri Kramer for 15 years and together, they share three daughters. After their divorce, he never thought he'd find love again. His philosophy became to work, make people happy and take care of his kids.

That all changed when he met Rizzo, and the actor acknowledged he was a very lucky man who was happy to have Rizzo by his side. He explained his kids also love the brilliant and talented blogger.

Saget would later propose to Rizzo with a ring he hid for four days. It was a very emotional moment for the lovely couple.

Not long after, the sitcom star shared the good news with his fans on Instagram. He told them he had popped the question by posting an image of the ring on the social media platform.

After their engagement, Sagent praised his bride-to-be for her pure heart and for understanding him. The lovebirds eventually got married in 2018 at Shutters on the Beach in Santa Monica, California.

The pair each posted pictures of their wedding on social media, gushing over each other. Soon after, they were seen on a double date with Saget's "Full House" co-star, John Stamos, and wife, Caitlin McHugh.

SAGET'S DEATH

Legendary comedian Bob Saget sadly died three years into his marriage with Kelly Rizzo. He was found dead in his hotel room at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes. He was in Florida on tour and had just performed the previous night at Ponte Vedra Beach.

According to a statement from the Orange County Sheriff's Office, detectives found no sign of foul play or drugs from the initial autopsy conducted. The cause of death is still yet to be determined by the medical examiner.

After news of his death broke, Rizzo released a joint statement with his daughters. She spoke about her love for the late comedian and thanked fans for the support she received following his death.

Rizzo said Saget was her whole heart. She continued that she was completely broken and in disbelief regarding his death. The "Eat Travel Rock" blogger revealed how touched she was by the outpouring message of love and tribute from colleagues and fans.

According to her, she couldn't say much because the news of her husband's death was still fresh, but she intends to share more information about what he meant to her with time. Rizzo also thanked fans for honoring her privacy.

The "Full House" actor was survived by his wife Rizzo and three daughters Aubrey, 34, Lara, 32, and Jennifer, 29.

INFORMATION ABOUT HIS CHILDREN

Saget was always full of praise for his kids before his death. He once revealed his daughters are very high beings, brilliant, wonderful, and smart.

His eldest daughter Aubrey is a painter and art curator, while Lara is an artist and yoga instructor. Jennifer's profession is unknown.
