Couple Who Adopted 4 Children Finds Out They Are Pregnant with Quadruplets
Although parents love their children, they can be backbreaking work. When a couple found out about the excessive number of kids they might be having, the line between excitement and terror became thin.
Saying their "I do's" in 2016, wide-eyed Maxine Young and her husband Jacob Young were looking forward to building an idyllic family.
The Pennsylvanian couple's wish was granted, but as they say, "Be careful what you wish for," as it may not manifest the way you expected.

LIVING FROM THE HEART
Before creating their own family, Maxine felt the urge to help other kids, fostering three siblings in 2017. Soon after, they also decided to foster the three kids' fourth sibling Elliot. Maxine expressed:
"I wanted to keep them all together. They'd been through so much already."
They were greeted with a surprise while fostering. After I.V.F and two miscarriages, the duo found out they were pregnant with a little boy via IUI, who they named Henry.
A GROWING FAMILY
Of course, the assumption was that the children they were fostering would be sent back to their biological parents when the time was legally deemed suitable.
However, the expecting mom and dad learned that these little ones' birth parents had lost their rights to their children after failing to attend scheduled visits. So Maxine and Jacob chose to adopt the four kids officially.
A SHOCKING REVELATION
Of course, this duo had their hands full, yet more was about to be put on their plate when Maxine found out she was pregnant with quadruplets. The loving mother recollected:
“The doctors made it seem like it would be impossible to have four healthy babies and wanted us to reduce."
However, despite their fear, the parents went with their intuition to keep all four children; Silas, Theo, Beck, and Cecilia.
WISH UPON A STAR
If having nine kids isn't enough, these parents' children are all under eight years old, but Maxine said it isn't as difficult as expected. The mother expressed how much affection there is within the family:
“You never feel like there’s not enough love in the house.”
As they say, be careful what you wish for because you just might get more than you could have ever dreamed of.
A UNIQUE RELATIONSHIP
Adoption is a special process, and most of the time, we hear of adults adopting children. But, what reaction would we have if one adult legally became the parent of another adult?
This is precisely what Mary Banos did, adopting Connie Joi -- both of them over 18 years old. This pair grew up in the foster system, with Banos meeting a younger Joi and her foster family when she was a child herself.
The family appeared normal when she was young. However, as she grew older, she soon learned that it was an abusive environment. This mistreatment was to the point where Joi claimed her foster brother sexually molested her.

After hearing this tragic story, Banos eventually made a drastic decision. She chose to adopt Joi to help her feel what it's like to have an authentic and unconditionally loving family for the first time in her entire life.
While this adoption is more unorthodox, the love behind it is just as strong and unconditional as the Young's — and that is all that matters.
