‘The Girl from Plainville’ Star Elle Fanning Is in Relationship with Actor Max Minghella — Get To Know Her 13 Year Older Boyfriend

Elle Fanning is no longer the young child we met over a decade ago in "Super 8." She is currently a promising young actress dating an English actor 13 years her senior.

"The Girl From Plainville" star Elle Fanning might be just 24 years old, but she already has an impressive list of acting credits.

She made her on-screen debut playing the younger version of her sister Dakota's character in 2001's "I Am Sam," but her latest project has nothing to do with her famous sibling.

In "The Girl From Plainville," Fanning plays Michelle Carter, the criminal who led her boyfriend, Conrad Roy, to take his own life in July 2014.

She confessed that the news impacted her because she was around Carter and Roy's age when it happened. Fanning was one of the film's producers and wanted to navigate the false sense of reality people face in this "technological age of texting and social media."

With the film, Fanning and the rest of the producers avoided sensationalizing the story. Instead, they focused on showing more elements of the characters to both families instead of "blanketing it" in one way. She said:

"I do think that I have a greater understanding now, after filming the show and looking at the story from an unbiased way, and working on it for so long."

The Hulu TV series has only four episodes available, with a new one coming to the platform each Tuesday, and it has received mostly positive reviews.

Minghella, born in London, comes from a family of artists.

Elle Fanning and Max Minghella have been making headlines since July 2018 when people saw them holding hands in Florence, Italy. Their romance began like many others in Hollywood: on a movie set.

The couple became romantically involved while working together in 2018's "Teen Spirit," Minghella's directorial debut. He confessed that Fanning was the only actress capable of carrying the movie, and Fanning said she loved working with him.
