Michelle Yeoh has been a big part of the Hong Kong movie industry since the 1980s. Yeoh ranks as one of the highest-paid Asian actresses, justified by her incredible acting resume.

The 59-year-old has featured in several blockbuster movies such as "Crouching Dragon, Hidden Tiger," "Tomorrow Never Dies," "Crazy Rich Asians," "Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings," and most recently, "Everything Everywhere All at Once."

Yeoh stepped into the limelight as the Miss Malaysia winner and starred in a commercial with Jackie Chan. Her talent as an actress was glaring, and she was immediately absorbed into the Asian movie industry.

She mostly acted in action-oriented martial-arts films, scoring high ratings for her brilliance. Yeoh took a break from acting in the late 80s due to her marriage to Dickson Poon, a Hong Kong executive. The couple married in 1988 and split in 1991.

Yeoh had always been a family woman, and so it was not much of a big deal when Poon asked her to halt her career for the family. Yeoh resumed acting shortly after their divorce.

The "Crazy Rich Asian" star claims she remains friends with Poon even after the divorce. The couple never had any children, but Yeoh has publicly discussed her desire to have children.

The actress confessed to trying different measures, including IVF. Yeoh has since moved on from the disappointment of never being a mom; she enjoys her life and career with her man of almost two decades, Jean Todt.

YEOH AND TODT HAVE A UNIQUE RELATIONSHIP

Years after her divorce, Yeoh found love in the arms of Todt, the former President of the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA). Todt was also a former rally co-driver.

Despite the 16-year age difference, the couple appears to have a happy life together in their luxury Geneva mansion. The lovebirds began dating in 2004 after meeting in Shangai and have remained together.

Although they have no children together, Todt has a son, Nicolas, from his previous relationship. There have been multiple claims of Todt and Yeoh walking down the aisle soon, but the longtime lovers have been engaged for more than a decade and haven't found the perfect date for a wedding.

Meanwhile, Yeoh continues to focus on her career, and her most recent role was in "Everything Everywhere All at Once." Yeoh plays Evelyn Wang, a woman surrounded by disappointments, and has labeled the film as one of her best roles.

Yeoh's character was initially to be played by fellow actor Jackie Chan, but she was always wanted as one of the cast members. However, the show's directors, Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert opted for a switch, making Yeoh the protagonist.
