"Only Murders in The Building," a murder mystery comedy series that aired on Hulu, caught a lot of attention because of its unique storyline, and Selena Gomez, one of the most followed celebrities in Hollywood, reprises a regular role in the plot.

It is the first time the talented entertainer has appeared as a regular cast on any show since her time as a Disney star which is why it didn't surprise many that "Only Murders in The Building" did so well. It broke records to become the highest premiere day tune-in among other comedy series launched on Hulu.

Having become a fan favorite, it was only a matter of time before the cast started feeling the heat of all those gazes; however, for some, like Aaron Dominguez, who needed the exposure, it was a dream come true.

In the show, Dominguez portrayed Oscar, a buddy of true crime fan Mabel, and the murdered victim, Tim Kono.

The show is centered around the steps of three neighbors with an uncharacteristic love for true crime. They work towards tracking down the murderer they suspect was responsible for the death of someone in their exclusive Upper West Side apartment building, The Arconia.

All three pool their knowledge on true crime and put everything they know to the test as they investigate the truth while regularly updating a podcast to document the case.

It was the perfect role for Dominguez to showcase his inherited acting talents, and that he did, flawlessly enough to pique the curiosity of fans who had never heard of him before the show's release.

ACTING IS A FAMILY BUSINESS

Dominguez always wanted to do acting because he grew up watching his parents do it too. His parents got together in a theater school back in Venezuela. When they moved to the US, they got acting jobs in places like Miami and Atlanta.

His father was multitalented, and as a professional dancer, he allegedly toured with Janet Jackson in the 80s.

It all served as inspiration for Dominguez, who once said, "I grew up with the business, seeing my parents do Spanish soap operas, telenovelas, commercials. Watching my parents do theater, I fell in love with theater. And my dad was like my idol growing up. You know, I wanted to do everything my dad did."

Dominguez's interest in showbiz leaned toward acting, but he was only too aware of how financially inconsistent an artist's life can be, so he derailed into journalism.

HE SPARKED DATING RUMORS WITH SELENA

Given the easy chemistry Dominguez shares with Selena on screen and offscreen, there have been rumors about them being in a relationship.
