Amber Heard, who recently returned to court amid her acrimonious battle with her former husband, Johnny Depp, is a devoted mom to her child, Oonagh Paige.

Famous actress Amber Heard appeared as a witness in a Virginia courtroom on May 4. She opened up about her experiences and relationship with "Pirates of the Caribbean's" Johnny Depp, her former husband.

Her appearance was an attempt to defend herself against a defamation lawsuit Depp filed. She spoke about how their romance started wonderfully and developed into a rushed courtship before reportedly transforming into a "pattern" of violence the actor generously dished out.

When she took the stand, Heard told the court, in intricate detail, how Depp would allegedly abuse her because he believed she was being unfaithful, even though she always denied it.

Her account is directly at odds with Depp's testimony four days earlier. In fact, the actor declared that he had never hit a woman before and was only too happy to reveal instances where Heard had gotten violent with him.

Heard denied ever hitting Depp except during those extreme times when she had to defend herself or her sister.

However, in the account she provided, the actor had always been the perpetrator of violence in their relationship, which ended in 2017. Still, it remains a very talked-about topic on the internet.

According to a report from VOX, Depp is suing Heard because of an op-ed she published in the Washington Post in 2018. She referred to herself as "a public figure representing domestic abuse."

To be clear, Heard did not mention Depp in the op-ed; however, the actor and his team of lawyers have argued that she was pointing fingers at him, and a judge did agree with them.

In March 2019, Depp filed a defamation lawsuit against her requesting $50 million in reparation; then, in January 2021, Heard countersued for double the sum.

As it stands, Depp's lawsuit is what the world is watching play out in court, while Heard's will most likely start later this year. This turmoil is happening about a year after Heard welcomed her daughter and only child so far.

The actress revealed that she had secretly become a mother to a daughter in July 2021 and insisted that she was both mom and dad to the child, even though it did not stop speculations about who the father was.

Heard reportedly welcomed the child via a surrogate mother on April 8, 2021, and named her Oonagh Paige Heard. Why surrogacy? Doctors said she wouldn't be able to carry a child.

The proud mom confirmed the news of her baby's arrival via Instagram when she posted a shot of herself with the newborn. However, she refused to name the child's father or, in this case, the sperm donor.

Since her daughter arrived, Heard has turned her social media accounts into stan pages for her daughter.

Often sharing pictures that immortalize their time together and adding captions that push the narrative that says women don't need to be in a marriage to have a child.

In one Instagram post, she shared a picture of herself and Oonagh, whom she named after her late mother, sitting behind a laptop with their eyes on the screen. Her caption read:

"I'm just the mom and the dad. She's the boss."

Even today, Heard is still very silent on who the father of her baby is. However, at the time of her child's birth, the actress was romantically linked to cinematographer Bianca Butti whom she started dating in January 2020. The pair split up in December 2021.

After her acrimonious split from Depp, Heard reportedly started dating the world's richest man, Elon Musk, after she set eyes on him at the 2016 edition of the Met Gala. However, it has been revealed that her heart was not involved in the relationship.

The information was revealed due to the findings triggered by the defamation suit that claims Heard ruined Depp's reputation by implying that he had abused her in their relationship.

In her defense, her lawyers had Dr. Dawn Hughes, a forensic psychologist charged with evaluating Heard for the lawsuit, testify.

According to notes from their sessions, Heard told Hughes that she and Musk got involved for the first time after she met him at the Met Ball, which is in direct contrast to Depp's claim that the two were already sleeping together even before the big fight that led to their separation. According to Hughes' note, Heard said:

"I was heartbroken. My soul was dead. Felt nothing then."

Heard's relationship with the Tesla founder ended rather abruptly in March 2018. Heard had never loved him and had only kept him around to fill the vacuum Johnny Depp reportedly left.
