Twenty-nine-year-olds Cara Delevingne and Selena Gomez are not only highly successful women in Hollywood but extremely close friends. These two have what some may see as an extreme way of honoring their bond.

It's normal to fangirl when one sees their favorite actor, singer, or rapper. Sometimes, even celebrities have their moments, usually when meeting their role models.

But, there are times when supporters can take it a bit too far. At this year's Billboard Music Awards, many people online were scratching their heads over model Delevingne's behavior toward rapper Megan Thee Stallion.

Stallion, who managed to take home the top female rap artist award, was faced with an overexcited Delevingne pushing for her attention the entire night.

In one clip, Delevingne walked onto the red carpet where Stallion was posing and held up her train, shoving herself into a conversation between the award winner and Doja Cat. These were only a few of these incidents.

WHY DO CARA DELEVINGNE AND SELENA GOMEZ HAVE MATCHING TATTOOS?

Taking it to the next level for those she cares for and admires appears to be a unique Delevingne trait. Embodying this, she got matching tattoos with her friend Gomez.

The tattoo isn't subtle either, as the model and actress sports a large rose on the side of her ribcage. Gomez is also bold, with her large rose falling down the nape of her neck onto her back.

Opening up about her decision to permanently ink her body with a large gorgeous flower along with her friend, Gomez said:

"It means a couple of different things. But me and Cara [Delevingne], one of my best friends that I've known for—I was maybe 16 when I met her—she calls me 'Rosebud.' So, it's a nickname, and I've always wanted a rose. Now, I got one, and I love it."

The actress and singer also said that this is not the only sentimental tattoo she has shared with someone important in her life, citing her best friends and mother as some of them.

WHO IS CARA DELEVINGNE DATING?

Unafraid to show bold affection for those she cares about, Delevingne is also not scared to embody and vocalize her truth. Speaking openly about her sexuality, she stated:

"I always will remain, I think, pansexual. However one defines themselves, whether it’s 'they' or 'he' or 'she,' I fall in love with the person — and that's that. I'm attracted to the person."

However, she did admit that she did struggle with her sexuality as a teenager but eventually came to accept and love herself.

And so, even with the criticisms against her sexuality in Hollywood itself, this multi-talented performer continues to date who she wants regardless.

In 2013, Delevingne and Jake Bugg began seeing one another, followed by a relationship with actress Michelle Rodriguez in 2014.

In the same year, Delevingne dated actor Jack O'Connell, followed by musician St. Vincent for nearly two years, starting in 2015.

This was followed by her most serious relationship with then-girlfriend Ashley Benson from 2018 until 2020. This actress is like most of us, whatever sex or gender she may date –simply looking for love. As she said:

"I’m just better when I'm in love. That doesn't have to mean with someone. It can also mean with myself. It just feels incredible when you're not alone, when you're facing the world with someone else."

Luckily, romantic partner or not, Delevingne is never alone with her friends, expressing the same intense admiration for her as she does them. As Fiona Apple and Taylor Swift implied, Delevingne is the perfect mix between home and freedom.

WHAT RELATIONSHIP DO CARA DELEVINGNE AND SELENA GOMEZ HAVE?

It is evident among all her friendships by the massive roses on their bodies that Delevingne and Gomez's friendship is extraordinary. So much so that they will use their chemistry to play as lovers. This will happen in the series "Only Murders in the Building." Showrunner John Hoffman said:

"It was amazing to have the two of them know each other and feel comfortable. It's a little sparky in all the right ways that makes you feel like, 'Oh, someone’s opening someone's world.'"

The show will premiere on Hulu this coming June, and we can't wait to see what these two extraordinary companions have in store for us.

Delevingne and Gomez are not the only duos we may be getting excited to see onscreen. Rather, there are some whispers that Donna Noble, played by Catherine Tate, and Doctor James McCrimmon, played by David Tennant, may be returning in the next "Doctor Who."

Of course, the show is already going to be awe-inspiring with the gifted Ncuti Gatwa playing the next Doctor. But it would be lovely to have a nostalgic cameo or even a comeback. Find out if any of these rumors are true here.
