What Will 'This Is Us' Cast Do Next? Here Is Where You Can See the Show's Actors after Its Finale
"This is Us" has come to an end, and we've said goodbye to the Pearsons. Although the show is over, the actors are moving forward with new projects, series, and musical endeavors.
Known for its moving speeches and gestures, the finale of "This Is Us" was unexpected in the most understatedly beautiful way. Rather than going big, the creators focused on the importance of the small moments in life.
The episode showed different timelines — as it usually does — and showed the interconnectedness of life. It exuded its familiar authenticity that connected to audiences worldwide.
It could be this genuine nature of the award-winning series that helped it blossom into a top-rated series. Speaking to this simple and heartwarming essence of the show, creator Dan Fogelman expressed:
“I always thought that the boldest and most confident ending for the show would be pulling out one final magic trick at the end and then one big, obviously emotional, sad ending in death, and then allowing the final episode to be a simple reflection on family and time.”
In the finale, there were touching exchanges between Uncle Nicky and Kevin Pearson and Toby and his ex-wife Kate Pearson among other plotlines and relationships.

The episode also focused on the next steps for the "Big Three" triplets Kevin, Kate, and Randall. This included Kevin's non-profit dedicated to their dad and Kate opening up her music schools.
Randall's future, however, remained slightly elusive. But the real question is, what are the next steps for the actors who played these roles?
WHAT'S NEXT FOR "THIS IS US" CAST?
Justin Hartley, who was the adult version of the triplet Kevin, will be involved in several Netflix projects. He will also appear in the CBS adaption of the novel "The Never Game," written by Jeffrey Deaver.
Three-time Emmy award-winner Sterling K. Brown, who took on the role of the intelligent, high-achiever Randall Pearson, will be working on the indie film "Honk For Jesus. Save Your Soul." He is also set to star in the movie "Biosphere."
The third "Big Three" member, Kate Pearson, known for her dark and witty attitude, was portrayed by Chrissy Metz. Metz will match her character's love for music and follow her passion for melodies. But she said she was not going to stop acting.
There is the matriarch Rebecca Pearson played by the beloved Mandy Moore. Like her fictional daughter and character, Moore will also be following her passion for music. The talented actress is due to go on tour in June 2022.
Then we get to the idolized father, Jack Pearson. Milo Ventimiglia, who acted in this role, will be in a new series, "The Company You Keep," where he will take on the part of a conman.
HOW DID "THIS IS US" CAST REACT TO THE SEASON FINALE?
Many cast members took to social media to express their goodbyes and sadness over the show's end. Moore tweeted:
"As we close out the final chapter, let me leave you with this…'Take the risks. Make the big moves, even if they’re small moves. Forge ahead with your lives in any and every direction that moves you. I’m asking you to be fearless.' - Rebecca Pearson [sic]."
Brown also took to the platform where he wrote, "To my brother and sister, @justinhartley& @ChrissyMetz, I love you guys so damn much!" Hartley also shared a picture of himself and his on-screen triplets, expressing how much he would miss them.
Metz took to Instagram to share a compilation of Kate's best scenes: from her confrontation with the man who abused her when she was a young girl, to her major fight with ex-husband Toby, and many others.
Moore shared a picture on Instagram of the Pearson family when the "Big Three" were still young and expressed how quickly they grew up.
Susan Kelechi Watson, who played the widely admired wife of Randall, also took to Instagram to post a selfie of herself and Brown while thanking everyone for coming along for the ride.
Fogelman shared a poignant post on social media and referenced the train that Kate saw herself walking through during her final moments. He said, "Thank you for taking this train ride with us. It's been the trip of a lifetime."
