Meet Lourdes Leon: Everything about Madonna’s Daughter

Madonna might have six children, but the one making most headlines is Lourdes Leon. She even showed off her dancing skills for a fashion campaign.

On June 8, 2022, Lourdes "Lola" Leon shocked her 315,000 Instagram followers by posting a video of her participation in a fashion campaign for the international perfume and fashion brand Mugler.

Madonna's daughter proved that she inherited her mom's dancing skills while looking just like the Queen of Pop did during her "Who's That Girl" years. Read on to learn more about Lourdes Leon.

WHO IS MADONNA'S DAUGHTER LOURDES LEON?

Lourdes is Madonna's eldest kid, born in October 1996. Her dad is Carlos Leon, one of Madonna's first romantic partners (more about him later). Unlike her mother, Lourdes is not into music.

However, she is a talented model and fashion designer. She and Madonna joined forces in 2010 to launch the Material Girl clothing line, inspired by Madonna's looks from the 1980s.

Madonna's daughter has also modeled for different brands. Apart from the previously mentioned Mugler, Lourdes has starred in campaigns for Miu Miu and Stella McCartney, walked in New York Fashion Week shows, and participated in Savage x Fenty shows.

Lourdes once admitted that her mother controlled her most of her life. The young model said Madonna probably feared her kids would end up like some children of other celebrities.

When Lourdes graduated from high school, she became completely independent. She explained she and her siblings didn't get any handouts and added:

"My mom is very insistent on making me think about what I want to be known for beyond my looks. That's not what I want people to remember me by. It's not real."

WHO IS LOURDES LEON'S FATHER, CARLOS LEON?

Coming back to Lourdes's dad, Carlos Leon is of Cuban descent and worked as a fitness trainer. He met Madonna in New York in 1994, and although he was eight years her junior, they hit it off.

Shortly after welcoming Lourdes, the former couple parted ways. Still, they decided to live together even after splitting to be with Lourdes.

When Leon and Madonna broke up, he became an actor full-time. After making his on-screen debut in 1996 and separating from Madonna the following year, Leon appeared in "The Replacement Killers," "Empire," and a few other projects.

Like Madonna, Leon moved on and married Danish model Betina Holte, with whom he shares a son. Lourdes and her dad seem to have a healthy relationship: she once called him a "fitness guru" and said she'd love to visit Cuba, his home country.

TIMOTHÉE CHALAMET WAS LOURDES LEON'S FIRST BOYFRIEND

It is not the first time Lourdes has made headlines, though. She and "Dune" actor Timothée Chalamet attracted people's attention when they dated in 2013. He was her first boyfriend.

In April 2021, Lourdes confirmed they briefly dated. She admitted she respected Chalamet and explained they were "a little item" years ago when they attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School in Manhattan. Keep it up, Lourdes!
