The talented singer and her husband, actor Daryl Sabara, with whom she shares her only child, Riley, have become one of Hollywood's favorite couples since they first started dating.
Sabara, born on June 14, 1992, and just a year older than Trainor, rose to fame as a child star. Although he is famously known for his role in "Spy Kids," he has starred in top series like "Will and Grace" and "Roswell."
Sabara has maintained his passion for acting and has continued to work in television and film, as well as voicing characters for animations, cartoons, and video games.
The couple is so in love and regularly gushes about each other on social media. The 28-year-old mother admitted that she had never felt desirable to guys before until she met Sabara. Her husband was the first man to express how much he loved her body out loud in the bedroom.
The pair have been married for over two years. However, Trainor admits that their love feels brand new every day and that she is obsessed with her husband. The "Dear Future Husband" singer also confessed that he is her biggest fan. In her words:
"What's really cool is having someone you love actually be a fan of your writing and I never had that before him. So, like, I'll write a song…and he plays it, and he's like, 'You're the greatest songwriter ever,' and that just feels amazing."
Here is a timeline of their relationship showing how the lovebirds found their way to each other.
2014: MEGHAN TRAINOR AND DARYL SABARA'S FIRST MEETING
Trainor and Sabara first met in 2014 at a house party in Los Angeles. The singer noticed Sabara getting a drink and walked up to him to ask if he was the actor in "Spy Kids."
Trainor felt so excited to have run into Sabara that she told her friends about it all night. The next morning she told her entire family about meeting and partying with the actor. Apparently, the feeling was mutual because, according to Sabara, he could not forget his encounter with the cute blonde, blue-eyed singer.

2016: MEGHAN TRAINOR AND DARYL SABARA REUNITE
It took two years after their first meeting before Trainor and Sabara met again. The singer had asked her friend, actress Chloë Grace Moretz, to set her up with the nicest guy she knew.
Coincidentally the person Moretz chose turned out to be Sabara. Afterward, Trainor and Sabara went on a double date with Moretz and her then-boyfriend, Brooklyn Beckham. They first went bowling before going for karaoke.
Sparks flew when Sabara and Trainor sang together, although the actor was initially a bit nervous. Sabara sang a cover of Elton John's "Your Song," and Trainor was smitten. Not long after that, Sabara joined Trainor on her music tour. On July 2, 2017, the pair celebrated their first anniversary.
2017: THE COUPLE GETS ENGAGED
Trainor and Sabara took their relationship to the next level when they got engaged in December 2017 after just 18 months of dating. The actor popped the question a day before the singer's 24th birthday.
Trainor and Sabara were on a trip to the Living Desert Zoo and Gardens when Sabara proposed. Afterward, the singer took to her Instagram to share a video of the moment Sabara went down on one knee.
The singer declared Sabara made her dreams come true by proposing under sparkly Christmas lights. She then thanked him, her family, and friends for making her feel special.
The soon-to-be husband Sabara also shared a similar video on his Instagram page, wishing Trainor a happy birthday. The actor then proceeded to thank her for changing his life.
2018: TRAINOR AND SABARA GET MARRIED
On December 22, 2018, a year after their engagement, Trainor and Sabara tied the knot. The couple exchanged vows in front of about 100 guests at their backyard wedding ceremony.
Afterward, they gave their fans glimpses into the ceremony by sharing pictures and videos from the day on social media. The newlywed couple gushed about each other in the captions accompanying the posts.
2018: DARYL SABARA'S SURPRISE FOR MEGHAN TRAINOR ON THEIR WEDDING DAY
During the couple's 2018 backyard wedding ceremony (it was Trainor's idea to have the wedding at home), Sabara went all out to serenade his new bride with a five-person performance of their favorite love songs.
The actor took the lead, singing, dancing, and grinning at his bride. The wedding guests were in awe of the sweet surprise, and he brought smiles to the faces of their fans by sharing a clip of his surprise wedding performance.
After the wedding, Trainor shared clips from the special day, referring to herself as a "princess." The singer looked breathtakingly gorgeous in a wedding dress designed by Berta, and Badgley Mischka heels, while her husband matched her energy in a classic black tuxedo.
Before the day ended, Trainor changed into a lace suit and paired it with sneakers while her guests dined on an assortment of comfort foods. The couple had a beautiful "familymoon," as described by Sabara. They vacationed in Bora Bora with their families, including the bride's brothers and parents-in-law.
2020: TRAINOR AND SABARA ANNOUNCE PREGNANCY
Two years after their wedding, Trainor and Sabara announced they were expecting a child. The pair took to Instagram on October 7, 2020, to break the news to their fans.
The singer uploaded a picture of their ultrasound with a caption explaining how long she had waited for it to happen. Trainor then declared she and Sabara were so happy and couldn't wait to welcome their baby.
2021: THE COUPLE HAD TOILETS INSTALLED NEXT TO EACH OTHER
Despite their closeness and support for each other, Trainor revealed that she does not share the same toilet with her husband in their Los Angeles home. However, their toilets are installed side by side, in the same bathroom.
Following the interview, Trainor took to Twitter to "clear things up," adding that they enjoy hanging around each other during bathroom breaks.
This stirred mixed reactions in fans. Some maintained that privacy is vital in any marriage, while others found it disgusting. There were those who simply laughed about the admission.
Trainor later addressed the situation, confessing that she was unaware the confession would blow up on the internet. However, the singer remained unapologetic, adding:
"The amount of times that we pee at the same time in the middle of the night makes me so grateful that I have two toilets because I don't have to wait for him or he doesn't have to wait for me. We're so in sync. It is gross, but I love it."
For the "All About That Bass" singer, people's opinions of her marriage do not matter. Instead, she is focused on making their relationship work, and so far, the couple has been doing a great job!
