Weddings are an important rite of passage. For many people, they're a sacred way of sealing one's love and lifelong commitment and vowing to stay together for better and worse. Everyone's idea of their dream wedding is different.

Some couples like extravagant marriage ceremonies, while others might prefer something small and intimate. But regardless of these variations, no couple would ever want their mood to be ruined on their big day. The couple in today's story was said to have experienced something similar.

"Father-in-Law's girlfriend ruined our ceremony by walking in front of my husband down the aisle… proceeded to ignore us the entire weekend."

The footage showed the woman dressed in a floor-length, cream-colored dress, holding a silver clutch. The groom could be seen fuming, but his eye-roll showed he wasn't surprised.

NETIZENS REACT

One person wrote, "Wow, it's outdoors, so she could have obviously walked to the end of the [aisle] instead of right down where they were coming. She wanted to make a scene. How despicable." A second user called the incident "ridiculous" and told the couple they would laugh it off in a few years. They further added:

"Clearly everyone there agreed with how weird this was. The [groom's] face made me laugh. Where the [expletive] was she going?"

A third commenter shared that the woman only caused embarrassment for herself and suggested the couple not let her actions ruin their special day. They continued, "Narcissistic people like that want the "spotlight" no matter how cringey."

A RELATABLE SCENARIO

A fourth user said she was reminded of her own wedding and empathized with the OP. She shared how people tossed birdseed at her and her husband when they walked down the aisle. She continued:

"My aunt got in front of us and walked down the aisle, slowly, blocking it, and would not get out of the way. Some people just gotta be the center of attention."

In addition to the netizens supporting the couple, some spoke in favor of the father-in-law's girlfriend. One netizen mentioned that given the setting, it didn't seem that the wedding guests were aware that the ceremony had begun.

THE OTHER SIDE OF THE STORY

They said the video showed that the guests on the right weren't seated and could be seen talking to each other as the groom and his men walked down the aisle. They further stated:

"It just looks to me like the ceremony started suddenly and she was trying to scurry back to her seat."
