Ivana Trump Was Buried in Gold Coffin — Her Family Made Heartfelt Tributes during Her Funeral
Businesswoman, Ivana Trump, has finally been laid to rest a week after the news of her death. Friends and family said their final goodbyes, including Ivana's former husband, Donald Trump, and his third wife, who reportedly did not get along with her.
Fashion designer Ivana Trump passed away on July 14, 2022, at her Manhattan home in New York City. The Guardian reported the real cause of her death after being found unconscious.
New York City's chief medical examiner revealed Ivana succumbed to injuries following an accidental fall. When her ex-husband, Donald Trump, announced her passing, he did not reveal the cause of her death at the time.

A spokesperson for the New York City office of the chief medical examiner confirmed that Ivana allegedly fell to her death and was discovered at the bottom of her home's stairs. She was 73 years old.
The media personality was born in the Czech Republic in 1949. She was a skier, a ski instructor, and a model before she wed former U.S. President Donald.
At the time, the businessman was a real estate magnate, and Ivana partnered up with him to manage Atlantic City casinos and hotels. The former model helped the politician select some design elements for his Trump Tower. She also helped Donald become a Manhattan and global socialite.

The pair first met in the 1970s and tied the knot in 1977. Ivana and Donald were the "it" couple in the 1980s, while she also established her persona, being well-known for her blonde hair in an updo, not forgetting her glamorous looks.
The former couple welcomed three children together, two sons and a daughter. They had their firstborn son, Donald Trump Jr., in December 1977. Their second child, Ivanka, arrived in October 1981, followed by the youngest sibling, Eric, in January 1984.
After working side-by-side as powerhouses in NYC, Ivana and Donald divorced in 1992 after 15 years of marriage. Their separation became messy, but according to The Chicago Tribune, the exes found a way to remain cordial in recent years and even spoke regularly.

Donald reflected on his late former wife's passing a few days after she was pronounced dead. He told The New York Post that Ivana was an exceptional human being:
"She was outstanding. Beautiful inside and out. We began all of it, our lives together, with such a great relationship."

When asked what attributes stood out for him about her, the Trump Productions founder said Ivana was an extraordinary individual who worked hard and was grateful for everything she had:
"That she was different. That she never gave up. Beautiful, yes, but she was also a hard worker. No matter how rough things were or how badly they looked, she never fell down. She went from communism to our lives together. She took nothing for granted."

On the day of Ivana's burial, Donald paid one last tribute to the mother of his children on social media. Before heading to the funeral Mass, he wrote on his online platform, Truth Social, that it was a "sad day" but, at the same time, a day to celebrate Ivana's life:
"A very sad day, but at the same time a celebration of a wonderful and beautiful life. This will not be easy!!!"
IVANA WAS BURIED IN A GOLD COFFIN

Ivana was buried on July 20, 2022, in New York City, and among those who bid her farewell were her kids, who all reportedly gave eulogies, and Donald.
Ivana and Donald's children were pictured standing alongside their spouses and families, watching the hearse that carried their mother's gold-colored coffin arrive outside St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church on Upper East Side.
The church is only a short walk away from the deceased's longtime home. BBC reported that no cameras were allowed inside the church during the service.

The funeral service was an invite-only ceremony, with 100 mourners attending, including close friends of the "Raising Trump" author. Those in attendance included Malaysian designer Zang Toi, real estate developer Charles Kushner, and television host Jeanine Pirro, among others.
One individual, in particular, present for the funeral service was Donald's third wife, Melania Trump, and their son, Barron. People reported that Melania and Ivana allegedly had a feud.

The two ladies reportedly did not get along, especially in the years leading up to Ivana's tragic death. The tension between them began in 2017 after Ivana told "Good Morning America" that she had a direct number to phone Donald at the White House but avoided using it because "Melania was there."
The model added that she did not want to evoke feelings of jealousy for Melania because, after all, she was the "first Trump wife." Ivana also said she would not trade places with the former model because she liked her freedom.
The former First Lady responded to Ivana's statement through her spokesperson at the time, Stephanie Grisham, who called Ivana's comments "attention-seeking, self-serving noise."
Grisham said Melania enjoyed living in Washington D.C. and that she would use her title as First Lady to help kids and not "sell books." Either way, she came out to support her husband and stepchildren in a time of grief.

Moreover, while Donald did not say anything about his first wife during the service, their three children had a few inspirational words to say about their beloved mother.
Eric said his mom had beauty with brains and was "the embodiment of the American dream" and a force to be reckoned with. He emphasized that she had no competition, whether it involved males or females.

Meanwhile, his older sister Ivanka remembered their iconic parent as a "trailblazer to men and women." The former senior advisor of the presidency shared that when growing up, her mother was the epitome of what a woman was capable of.
"She was a trailblazer to men and women alike. My mother once told me there was nothing she couldn't do in heels. My mom expanded our minds," said Ivanka. In addition, Donald's eldest son Donald Jr., described his dear mother as "fearless and independent."
