The pair only tied the knot in 1992. Their marriage was not long and lasted 82 days before their divorce, even though they had known each other for about six years.

Annie Bakes supported her daughter; however, she said Alexis's father was reluctant to give her money to take care of her. She even struggled to pay for her daughter's tuition and had to sell her husband's memorabilia, as seen in an episode of "Pawn Stars."
During an interview with Oprah in 2013, Dennis said he was doing signings at an autograph show when he reunited with his daughter after she arrived there unexpectedly. The former basketball player was shocked because he hadn't seen her in years.
According to Alexis's father, she didn't want to talk about how long they had been separated. Instead, she said she just wanted him to be her dad, and the father and daughter spent the whole day together talking.
The relationship between the parent and child has since improved, and Alexis has even previously called her father a "really beautiful person."
