Princess Beatrice is a non-working member of the royal family and therefore had to make her own way in life after she graduated from university. She also had a job during her years studying.

She has not often been seen in public with the royal family, but it has been said that she and the Queen shared a special bond and spent time together out of the public eye whenever they could.

On September 19, just a day after Princess Beatrice's daughter turned one year old, the princess had to attend her grandmother's state funeral at Westminster Abbey. The little girl, Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi, is middle-named after the late monarch

"People".

"Express UK" reported that Beatrice and her grandmother were close, and upon leaving the funeral service, the princess broke down in tears. She was comforted by her husband, who placed his arm around her as she wept.

The other person comforting Beatrice during this trying time was her mother, Sarah Ferguson. Later, her sister, Princess Eugenie, joined her in her grief, and the sisters supported one another.

This was not the first time the sisters had comforted one another as they were seen holding hands at Balmoral Castle as they looked through all the floral tributes left for their grandmother by fans.

Like many other family members, "Express UK" reports that Princess Beatrice's role in the royal family has changed since the Queen's passing. Other royal family members have experienced similar instances.

Princess Kate and Prince William have become the Prince and Princess of Wales, and it has been rumored that Prince Harry's children will now be getting royal titles after simply being known as Miss and Master Mountbatten-Windsor.

King Charles III automatically became King after his mother passed away as he was next in line for the throne. His wife, Queen Consort Camilla, received her title under the Queen’s request, despite some upset about it from fans.

Although Beatrice has spent much of her life outside the spotlight, she has made it clear on many occasions that her grandmother was an inspiration to Beatrice and she loved her dearly.

Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Beatrice Shared A Close Bond

"Hello!" claimed that in October 2017, Princess Beatrice made it clear that she shared a unique relationship with her grandmother and thought highly of her. The princess apparently said:

"I have two role models, my mother, and my grandmother."

Beatrice went on to explain she believed it was important for a young woman to have female role models, and she felt lucky that she had two from which she could draw inspiration and motivation.

The princess and her grandmother spent quality time together as often as possible, attending church or having tea to catch up on one another's news when they weren't too busy.

She mentioned that her grandmother always wanted to know why things worked in a certain way or why people thought what they did, inspiring the young woman as it encouraged her to explore more.

The princess even ensured that her grandmother was at her wedding, despite the more difficult circumstances because of the global pandemic. She also once told a group of volunteers from Octavia House that the Queen was "[her granny] and [she is] very, very lucky."

Princess Beatrice Built Her Own Career

Although Beatrice is the Queen's granddaughter, she has been a non-working royal her entire life and therefore had to build her own career from scratch, which she happily did once she left university, per "BBC".

The publication confirmed in 2008 that the princess worked for a fashion store during her gap year when she was 19. She worked for Selfridges in Oxford Street as she wanted to get experience of the buying process in a big retail store.

However, she did not stay there for long. In May of that year, she left the store and went to the University of London, where she studied History and History of Ideas. After that, she got a regular job, says "Mirror UK".

Beatrice has had many jobs since entering the workforce and gets hardly any money from being a member of the royal family. Yet, she has made a success of herself without the help of her family.

The princess has been an associate at Sanbridge Capital, a business development associate at Sony Pictures, and a research analyst at a private wealth firm. However, her current job is unlike the above.

She now works as the vice president of partnerships and strategy at a company called Afiniti. Now that her grandmother has passed away, though, she will also take on an entirely new role in the royal family.

, now fourth in line for the throne, has automatically become a counselor of state following the Queen's death. This means she will be asked to step in for King Charles III if he cannot attend a royal engagement,

"Express UK."

Other counselors of the state include Queen Consort Camilla, Prince William, Prince Harry, and Prince Andrew. It has been said that Beatrice is second-in-line behind Prince William because of Prince Andrew's scandals and Prince Harry leaving The Firm.
