"Two and a Half Men" actor Ashton Kutcher and "Black Swan" actress Mila Kunis had known each other for years before they became an official couple.

The two first met when they starred together in "That '70s Show," in which they also shared their first kiss, albeit scripted. Kunis would later confess that she had a massive crush on Kutcher and obsessed over their kissing scene.

She also admitted that Kutcher was her first kiss. On the other side, the model-turned-actor was equally nervous. He thought Kunis acted cool and seemed like she'd done such a scene a thousand times. The thought of kissing her left him with butterflies in his stomach, and he also admits that that first kiss was nerve-racking.

Eventually, the kissing scenes became a norm, and the two got used to it as they ended up kissing numerous times during the hit show. However, despite the fairy-tale beginning to an imminent romance, the two remained friends over the years, and no romance ever developed.

Kunis believes everything happens for a reason and precisely as it should. She shared that they needed to grow before becoming a couple to be suitable for each other in the future.

Finding Happiness with Other People

After the show wrapped up, and despite remaining friends, the pair went their separate ways and attempted to find happiness with other people. Kutcher found love with "The Joneses" actress Demi Moore.

The two met in 2003 at a mutual friend's dinner in New York City, and despite their 15-year difference when they met — Moore was 40 and Kutcher was 25 — they hit it off immediately.

Moore admits that they were "totally in sync," and it felt like a do-over, referencing her nasty split from her ex-husband Bruce Willis, with whom she had three children.

Coming into the union, Kutcher always knew he wanted kids. He proposed to Moore after finding out she was pregnant, but unfortunately, they lost the baby at six months. They also tried several rounds of IVF, but they all proved unsuccessful.

They walked down the aisle in September 2005 at their home in Beverly Hills in front of over 100 guests. The actress later claimed that due to her marriage to Kutcher, her relationship with her three daughters became non-existent, as they refused to speak to her.

Their marriage became strained due to claims of infidelity, and they eventually divorced in 2011. Moore announced her decision to end the union in a statement published by CNN. with Kutcher tweeting, as Insider reports:

"Marriage is one of the most difficult things in the world, and unfortunately, sometimes they fail."

On the other hand, Kunis also found love with "Home Alone" actor Macaulay Culkin, and the two dated since December 2002 and lasted years before they went separate ways in January 2011.

Kutcher and Kunis Reconnect and Start a Whirlwind Romance

After their relationships hit brick walls, Kunis and Kutcher reconnected during the 69th Golden Globe Awards. Kunis says she spotted a hot man in front of her and kept checking him out, oblivious that it was someone she had known for years.

She says she only recognized him when he turned around and could not believe it was him: "I was like 'Oh my God, it's Kutch.'"

They got talking, and he invited her to his housewarming party in Hollywood Hills. They had their first real kiss during the party and started hooking up regularly. They started dating casually, both aware that they did not want anything long-term, especially not marriage.

Kutcher recently confessed about his first time telling Kunis that he loved her. In the TikTok video, Kutcher says he showed up at her house drunk at two in the morning and began screaming at the top of his voice: "You and tequila make me crazy!"

He then told Kunis he loved her, but she asked him not to say it if he did not mean it. She told him she would only know it was true if he still felt the same way in the morning. Luckily he did, and when he woke up the following day, he told her he loved her.

The pair reportedly got engaged in February 2014, with sources saying that the actress was spotting a gorgeous Tiffany engagement ring. Months later, Kunis announced on the Ellen Degeneres show that she was pregnant with the couple's first baby.

The lovebirds welcomed their first child, daughter Wyatt Isabelle Kutcher on October 1, 2014. The following year, in July 2015, the two walked down the aisle in a secret ceremony at the Secret Garden at Parrish Ranch in Oak Glen, California. Kunis told People at the time:

"We started dating with the idea we were both never going to get married. A year later, we were like, 'Tomorrow let's [get married].'"

They Are Doting Parents of Two, Who They Are Teaching to Be Independent

Kunis and Kutcher are now parents of two. After welcoming their first child, Wyatt, in 2015, they became parents for a second time the following year after they welcomed their son Dimitri Portwood Kitcher in November 2016.

As celebrities, Kutcher and Kunis are cautious with their parenting techniques and try to raise their kids as normally as possible. Kutcher disclosed that they try not to spoil their children.

They strive to teach their babies to rely on their own talents and abilities instead of depending on their parents' success to move forward. He says he plans on teaching them to be resourceful and does not plan on starting a trust fund for them.

On the contrary, the actor says he will help them be independent and invest in their ideas in the future, just as long as they are great. However, he does not plan to leave them any inheritance because he intends to donate his money to charity.
