Regina Hall Has Never Been Married - What We Know About Her Dating History

There have been a lot of speculations about who actress Regina Hall's husband is. Hall, who has been in Hollywood for over two decades, rarely discusses her personal life.

Regina Hall is one of the most talented actresses in Hollywood today. She rose to prominence for her role in the comedy-horror film series "Scary Movie," which propelled her to the forefront of show business.

Hopeful for her next relationship, Regina Hall also admitted that even she would talk to God, asking for the right partner.

But no matter how much she avoided discussions of her dating life, there have been persistent rumors about her possible romantic partners and the past relationships she never addressed.

Sadat X

Before becoming famous in the entertainment industry, Hall reportedly had a relationship with rapper Sadat X, whose real name is Derek Murphy.

Sadat X first met Hall while she was a student at Fordham University in New York before she relocated to California. In an interview with The Leschea Show in 2017, he claimed they lived together between the 1990s and 2000s.

However, Sadat X also admitted that he was the one who ended their relationship after seven years of dating. If he could go back and change the past, he said he "probably should have married her."

However, things have gone well for Hall and the rapper, who gained prominence as a member of the hip-hop group Brand Nubian. According to Sadat, they continued to be friends and keep in touch.

Hall has not spoken publicly about their speculated romance since. While the alleged couple never appeared in public together, Sadat X featured the actress in his song "The Interview" in his 1996 Wild Cowboys album.

Damon Kyle Wayans Sr.

Reportedly, Hall dated the actor Damon Kyle Wayans, Sr., but their romance was only short-lived, and Hall never revealed further details about their relationship nor pictures of them together in public.

Meanwhile, in a People interview, Damon's brother, actor Marlon Wayans, revealed that she dated his older sibling. Marlon also said he was the third Wayans sibling Hall had kissed, and the second person was his other brother, Shawn Wayans.

Even though there was little information about Damon's current relationships, he once married actress and model Lisa Thorner from 1984 to 2000.

The former pair share four children: Damon Jr., Michael, Kyla, and Cara Mia Wayans. Between the kids, Damon Jr. has been following in his father's footsteps in acting.

Sanaa Lathan

Hall also dated a female actress, if speculations are anything to go by. "Nappily Ever After" star Sanaa Lathan was rumored to have been in a relationship with Hall. Both actresses appeared in the sports drama film, "Love and Basketball."

The rumor began when Hall moved into Lathan's house. Fans, on the other hand, were incorrect in their assumptions. Hall temporarily chose to stay in Lathan's place because hers was undergoing extensive renovations.

Because of their on-screen and off-screen closeness, Lathan's relationship with Hall sparked claims that Hall was gay. Both actresses laughed off the claims.

A big supporter of the queer community, Hall said if she dated a woman, she wouldn't be ashamed or attempt to hide it from the public eye. She clarified it wouldn't be Lathan, though, as she treats her like a sister.

Common

Meanwhile, rapper and actor Common also sparked romance rumors with Hall in 2016 after they co-starred in the comedy film "Barbershop: The Next Cut." A source close to both actors reportedly claimed that the pair dated in October of that year.

Common, whose real name is Lonnie Rashid Lynn, quickly denied dating his co-star, noting they were never in a relationship as he viewed her as his "buddy." The hip-hop star described Hall as "funny," "beautiful," and "super cool."

Common added that Hall was a friend to him and someone he cared about in that capacity. The hunky actor is not a novice when it comes to the world of dating or being linked to high-profile female celebrities.

His most recent relationship was with actress Tiffany Haddish, who appeared alongside Hall in the comedy film "Girls Trip." He and Haddish reportedly began dating in 2020 but broke up the following year.

Chadwick Boseman

In 2018, Hall sparked dating rumors again with late actor Chadwick Boseman. During that year's Vanity Oscars party, the actress and her rumored date were spotted together as they were dressed elegantly at the party.
