The comedy world is mourning the untimely death of beloved actor and comedian Leslie Jordan. The "Sordid Lives" actor died on the morning of Monday, October 24, after a terrible car accident in Hollywood. He was 67.
According to reports by TMZ, the actor is suspected of having suffered a medical emergency while driving through Cahuenga Boulevard, south of Romaine Street in Los Angeles, Hollywood, crashing his BMW into a building.
Though the LAPD representative withheld the identity of the accident victim at first, it was later revealed to be the comedian, who was pronounced deceased on the spot.
The goofy actor braved the silver screens for years, appearing in fan-favorite shows including "American Horror Story," "Call Me Kat," "The Cool Kids," "Hearts Afire" and "Will & Grace," among numerous others.
In the past few years, following the COVID-19 pandemic, Jordan became a social media sensation after he started posting silly and goofy videos on his Instagram that boosted his following from a mere 80,000 to an impressive 5.8 million followers.

His sensational Tik-Tok videos became a place of emotional sanctuary during the world's most trying times and the preferred choice of entertainment for many of his fans. For a long time, everyone who watched his videos was guaranteed to get a good laugh.
Jordan Posted an Eerily Befitting Final Post a Day before His Demise
One of his final public spottings was when the actor gauged his reaction to Britney Spears and Elton John releasing a new song, "Hold Me Closer," in August. The actor made fans laugh after posting a selfie-style video of himself getting down to the tune in his modest bedroom dressed in pajamas.
And then, a day before his demise, he released a video on his Instagram singing alongside his producer Danny Myrick. Ironically, the song was about going to heaven, in which the star sang about his staunch faith and acceptance of what follows after life on earth.
"When the trumpets of the Lord shall sound and times shall be no more, and the morning breaks eternal bright and fair. When the saved of verse should gather over on the other shore, when the road is called of yonder, I'll be there." Jordan sang in the unreleased song.
He wrote that his producer had helped him with the song that would be released soon, ending the post with a sweet send-off that read:
"Love Light. Leslie."

Following the announcement of his death, Jordan's fans flooded the comment section of his final post, mourning the star. Some thanked "The Help" star for helping them get through the pandemic and giving them laughter during the most gloomy days. @eckolsbettina wrote:
"RIP. You made me smile so many times during the pandemic. You will be missed."

Another comment from @kimberlywilliamspaisley read: "We are heartbroken. Thank you, Leslie, for bringing so much joy to so many people over the years."
Others mused over how timely his last post had been and how eery it was singing about life after death only a day before his untimely demise. One fan, @s.englert, paid his tribute:
"How fitting to be your last post. I will miss your humor so much. Thank you for getting us through the pandemic with your videos and light."

Many others mourned the goofy actor, each retelling a time when he made them laugh or brought light to their otherwise dark days. His representative, Davis Shaul, said in a statement to Closer Weekly following the actor's shocking death:
"The world is definitely a much darker place today without the love and light of Leslie Jordan."
Who Is Jordan's Family
Today, many are morning the demise of a star that, for years, has provided them with laughter and light-hearted moments. To most, Jordan was just a prolific figure that graced their screens.
But away from his job as an entertainer, the star was also a family man with two younger sisters. His sisters, twins Jana and Janet, are 22 months younger than the actor, and he has been nothing but a wonderful big brother to them.
In 2019, Jordan posted a photo taken alongside his sisters, noting how close they'd become after losing their father years back:
"My sisters! The Twins! I love them both so much. We lost our daddy in service to this amazing country when I was 11, and they were 9. We've been through so much, but as for now, it seems to be smooth sailing ahead!"
Jordan admitted that while he had been a lonely child, mostly playing alone, the twins always inspired him and his career. He often credited his family for helping him embrace his fun-loving personality.
In 2016, he opened up to his fans, revealing that his character Cricket Marlowe in "American Horror Story: Roanoke" was a tribute to his sister Jana.
Unfortunately, Jordan lost his sister Janet in April 2022, announcing the sad news on his Instagram. He disclosed that the world had lost a wonderful person while he had lost a best friend and sister. However, he was at peace knowing that Janet and their dad would be reunited and together again.
2022 also marked another heart-wrenching loss for the actor after he said goodbye to his mother, Peggy Ann, in May. Jordan praised his mother as one of his biggest supporters and would forever live in his memory.
The "Until We Meet Again" star leaves behind a legacy that will see his name remembered for many decades to come.
