A second one is from the host of the Food Network program Barefoot Contessa, Ina Garten. They are the ideal recipes that could make Thanksgiving the unforgettable holiday it should be.

The two powerful women are similar in their love for making mouth-watering delicacies, their shared passion for writing, and their long marriages.

However, their lives outside of their passionate work and everyday hassles are exceptionally different. Drummond is a mother of four, while Garten has no kids.

How Does Ree Drummond Make Her Thanksgiving Cranberry Sauce?

Drummond's cranberry sauce is, by far, one of the most delicious sauces available and one that would add color to everyone's Thanksgiving meals. And the best thing? It only takes 20 minutes to prepare and cook. Laced with simple ingredients, it is something everyone should try.

For the delicious tried and tested recipe, Drummond uses 340 grams of fresh cranberries, one cup of cranberry juice, one cup of pure maple syrup, three tablespoons of orange juice, and one tablespoon of grated orange juice.

A simple step-by-step cooking process is another perk to the recipe. Put the clean cranberries into a medium saucepan and add maple syrup and cranberry juice. Next is to add the orange juice, which you can accompany with the orange rind to attain a citrus taste.

Stir together and turn up the heat to high, bringing the mixture to a boil. Once the berries start popping, turn the heat to medium-low until the juice thickens. Turn off the heat and give your sauce some time to cool off. You can then chill it in the fridge to attain a jelly-like consistency. And voila! Your cranberry sauce is ready!

Those that have since tried the recipe have nothing but good things to say about the sauce. One fan wrote that the sauce was delicious, and they loved it, even though they let theirs cook way longer than the recipe suggested, but only because they loved their "tighter." Another wrote:

"Just made this cranberry sauce today. It's the bomb diggity. I will never go back to canned cranberry sauce again."

How Does Ina Garten Cook Her Thanksgiving Make-Ahead Cranberry Sauce?

Garten's recipe differs from Drummond's but is equally delicious. Armed with 340 grams of fresh cranberries, one and three-quarters cups of sugar, one peeled, cored, and chopped Granny Smith apple, juice from one orange and its zest, and juice from one lemon and its zest, you can start preparing it.

Add the cranberries to a saucepan, adding the sugar and one cup of water, then let it cook over low heat for about 5 minutes. Once the skin from the berries begins to open, add all other ingredients, mix, and cook for another 15 minutes.

Turn off the heat, and leave to cool. If you've prepared the sauce in advance, you can always refrigerate it and wait for the holidays or use it with your everyday meals.

Reviews from those that tried the recipe were incredibly positive, with one fan writing that it was the best cranberry sauce they ever had, despite making little adjustments to it to favor their tastes and preferences. Another wrote:

"I make this cranberry sauce every year at Thanksgiving. I love it!"
