NBA YoungBoy's Mom is Doted Upon by her Son & She Loves Being a Grandmother

Rapper NBA YoungBoy's mom, Sherhonda Gaulden, has witnessed the musician's ups and downs throughout his life. The duo may have a love-hate relationship, but in reality, they are each other's support system.

Sherhonda Gaulden is the mom of the famous young rapper NBA YoungBoy. The adoring mother recently gave her son a sweet and simple birthday greeting on her Facebook page, which featured a photo of him performing in public.

In addition to supporting his son's musical career, Gaulden is also proud of how her son has grown into a doting father of ten little kids. Gaulden, a proud grandmother, has devoted herself to NBA YoungBoy's children.

NBA YoungBoy Growing Up

Gaulden was only in her early twenties when she became a mother. In a January 2022 interview, she discussed her time raising her children, particularly NBA YoungBoy, whose real name is Kentrell DeSean.

Gaulden has two other children besides NBA YoungBoy: son Ken and daughter Telee, who have been living independently, but it is unclear what they do for a living.

Gaulden described how challenging it was to be a young mother with little children living in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Gaulden explained that she couldn't help them as much as she would have liked because she had to go to work.

She was extremely thankful, however, that her mother, whom she described as her "support system," assisted her at the time. She stated that she would sometimes take her children to her mother's house before going to work.

Gaulden's mother was the one who stepped in to help her children when they got into trouble or had school functions. According to Gaulden, NBA YoungBoy likes being surrounded by kids.

Regardless of the number of NBA Youngboy's children, Gaulden embraced her new role.

NBA YoungBoy's Gift for His Mom

NBA YoungBoy may have had run-ins with the law, but he is a loving son. He recently purchased a new home for his mother while in prison.

Gaulden posted on social media in June 2019 about the house his son had bought for him. Several fans commented on the video, saying she was extremely fortunate to have the young musician as a son.

Several months after the young artist bought the house, Gaulden claimed that her son forced her to leave the residence. According to Girbaud TX, the mother and son disagreed on many issues, including whose rules in the house should be followed.

The frustrated mother took to social media to air out her feelings and ranted about what happened between her and her son. She also stated that she slept in a park. When the misunderstanding faded, the duo quickly resolved the situation.

NBA YoungBoy's Mother Became a Doting Grandmother

NBA YoungBoy and his girlfriend, Jazlyn, recently welcomed their latest child. The latter marks the rapper's tenth child. He has yet to reveal the name of his latest child to the public. He has nine other children from different women.

Gaulden mentioned on her Facebook page in March 2022 that she has 12 grandchildren, all under five years old. Regardless of the number of NBA YoungBoy's children, Gaulden embraced her new responsibility.

Gaulden has been posting photos of her adorable grandchildren on her Facebook page, showing them playing around the house, sleeping together, or swimming at a water park. She enjoys bonding with them as if they were her children.

The dedicated grandmother also stated on Facebook that she maintains a good relationship with the mothers of her grandchildren, and she will take care of the kids until they are old enough to take care of themselves. She added:

"Until there [they're] old enough to come and call on their own until then, I love them all."

NBA YoungBoy is among the few musicians known for having many children from various relationships. Like him, TV presenter and actor Nick Cannon is also a proud father of eight children.
