Frank was born in Hoboken, New Jersey, on December 12, 1915. The young Frank's love for singing was born when he joined his high school glee club, and he drew inspiration from singers such as Bing Crosby.
He decided he would try his hand at singing as a career and started performing at local bars and nightclubs. News of his talents spread, and he broke into the music industry after Harry James heard him over the radio.
He loved to spend time with his family and made sure he could see them as often as possible.

Frank also joined Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., and Joey Bishop as part of the "Rat Pack." In 1939, he married his first wife, Nancy Barbato, but it wouldn't last. They had three children together, Tina and Nancy Sinatra, and a son, Frank Sinatra Jr.
Who Are Frank Sinatra's Grandkids?
Frank's musical genius luckily didn't die with him. His son, Frank Jr., and his daughter, Nancy, were both singers of note, and the musical gene persists in their children. Nancy had two daughters, and the oldest went into the family business.
Angela Jennifer Lambert Paparozzi, or AJ as most people know her, developed a love for music at a young age. She tested the waters with many alternative bands and later published solo albums. She spoke about her experiences when listening to his music:
"When I hear things he sings, I hear them through some other filter. I hear them as a fan, but also as a human being I knew."
Nancy's second daughter, Amanda Catherine Lambert Erlinger, strayed from the musical path forged by her granddad, but her career as a photographer was still heavily inspired by him. It was he who introduced her to the art:
"Sadly, my dad died when I was nine and it was my grandfather who really kept up my interest in photography because of his own passion. It was something we shared together."
Amanda has many fond memories of her grandfather, saying he was a very loving man. He loved to spend time with his family and made sure he could see them as often as possible. Frank inspired her after her father passed.
Frank's son, Frank Jr., had one son of his own. Micheal Sinatra followed in his dad and granddad's footsteps by becoming a singer. He even performs in Las Vegas, and he enjoys belting out classics by the Rat Pack.
How Else Do Frank Sinatra's Grandkids Keep His Legacy Alive?
Besides Nancy and Frank Jr.'s careers in music, Frank's grandchildren are also ensuring their grandfather's legacy persists. AJ's music career seems to be on its way, while Micheal is sticking to his roots.
Amanda doesn't enjoy the spotlight quite as much as her siblings, but she did open up about her time spent with her granddad after her father passed away. She shared a few old family photos at an exhibition.
Amanda enjoyed telling stories about her grandfather and said he loved to spend time with his children and his three granddaughters. She told of how he always wanted to be around those he loved.
Her love of photography started with her father. The two initially bonded over the art, but he died when she was only nine years old. Frank took over from her father, and showed the little Amanda how to take photos. She shared:
"He went out of his way on the weekends to spend time with us. He loved being a grandpa."
The "New York, New York" singer obviously had a significant influence on his grandchildren, and his love for family has also been passed on. Micheal, Frank's grandson, enjoys being the father of two young children.
Micheal shared a photo of his two kids, Thomas and Emma Sinatra, posing in festive Disney nightclothes. Like his grandfather, Frank, Micheal seems to be a loving family man. He captioned the post, "Truly blessed."
