'Night Court's John Larroquette Turned 75 — He Raises 3 Kids from Marriage of 47 Years to Actress Wife
John Larroquette turned 75 in 2022 and looks great! The actor created a family with an actress and a National Airlines worker, with whom he was together for 47 years! John was a doting father who pierced his ear in adulthood after his son "persisted."
On November 25, 1947, John Larroquette was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. He worked as a producer and an actor, with some of his credits being 1981's "Stripes," 1984's "Night Court," and 2014's "The Librarians."
On July 4, 1975, he and Elizabeth Ann Cookson, his wife of 47 years in 2022, married and later welcomed children. In 2017 when asked how he'd spent his birthday, the star revealed he didn't celebrate much except if it was a big one.

However, he said his wife and children were kind to him on the day, but he never made a big deal about his birthday. John, 75 in 2022, recalled how the last big birthday he celebrated was his 60th.
He was on the road traveling with his wife when it came around. The actor, previously a husband to Bertie Good, met his second wife while reaching another significant milestone.
How Did John Meet His Wife?
John got his first acting break when he starred as the lead in a play called "Enter Laughing," based on Carl Reiner's autobiography. He met Elizabeth during that production.

In the 1970s, he featured in "Ellery Queen" and "Kojack," and when he was with the theater company, he was constantly making play after play, but Elizabeth was working for National Airlines and didn't have to wait tables.
John could focus on attending auditions, and in late 1975 he got a job on "Ba Ba Black Sheep." Ironically, Elizabeth was also an actress who worked in 1979's "Knots Landing," 1983's "The Best of Times," and 1985's "A Death in California."
Out of the couple's three children, their son, Jonathan Larroquette, followed in their footsteps by becoming an actor. Some of the stuff he's done included 1999's "Payne," 2003's "Happy Family," and 2007's "McBride: Dogged."
However, his Instagram account revealed that he was also a businessman who sold clothes and other items. John's son seemed like a laidback person who didn't behave like a celebrity and loved dogs.

In November 2022, he had long gray salt and pepper-colored hair and a full beard. When John wasn't working, he liked spending quality time with his family and did things that seemed out of character to please his children!
How Does John like to Spend His Time?
John once revealed that he liked thinking because it fascinated him, and he spent too much time in his mind. The star who played Dan Fielding on "Night Court" opposite Harry Anderson explained himself through his wife's eyes, stating:
"My wife says that my perfect world is to be in the Suburban driving, with her next to me and the boys in the back seat and complete silence for two thousand miles."
The actor once recalled that his son once begged him from age ten to allow him to have his ear pierced. When the teenager reached 14, he again asked his father to let him get the piercing.
His [John Larroquette] other reason for keeping it was because he worried it would puff out in the summertime.
"The John Larroquette Show" star finally gave in and took the boy to Hollywood and Melrose Avenue. A woman with dirty fingernails and Birkenstocks sat the boy down and plugged his ear for him!

Instead of celebrating his win and leaving the store before his father changed his mind, the teenager told John it was his turn! The star had managed to go through his 60s without piercing his ears, getting any holes in his body, or having tattoos made.
However, he didn't have a chance with his son, who "persisted," and John did it! Strange enough, after getting the ear piercing, the teenager took the plug out, and his ear hole healed shut, and he didn't have a hole anymore.

John, a grown man, kept his piercing in because he believed in doing things well and thoroughly. His other reason for keeping it was because he worried it would puff out in the summertime.
