In his cover story with People, Meloni said the secret behind their long-lasting marriage is the respect they have built for one another.
Meloni and Williams are always learning from each other. The "Law and Order" star gushed over how artistically talented his wife is as a painter.
In fact, he loves his wife's work so much that he does not want to have any other artists painting in his house besides Williams'. Meloni also loves how his wife's art feeds into her perspective of viewing and understanding the world.
Therefore, as Williams has evolved as a painter and Meloni as an actor, the two have learned much about and from each other and continue to as they add more years to their union.
They have two children, Dante and Sophia. The Meloni family is very close and often shares some of their activities on social media. Not to mention their beautiful home, where they have made many memories while raising their children and during the recent lockdown.
Inside Christopher Meloni's Family Home
Meloni lived in New York when he filmed "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit "; however, he and his wife wanted to raise their children in an area that would still allow them to enjoy the outdoors.
Therefore, with New York being a city of skyscrapers, the actor and his wife moved away from Soho and found a sky-high apartment close to Central Park because Meloni wanted them to grow up where they could actually see grass.
In any home the couple has lived in, Meloni wanted to have his wife's artwork hung in his house. Williams even confessed that her husband always asked her to paint something she would love to see in their home.
As an artist, Williams found it difficult to choose a painting she felt worthy of being hung and seen by guests, but her husband is one of her biggest fans, so she had to deliver for him.
Although the couple had moved to an apartment, Meloni and Williams appreciated the bigger space, giving their children the necessary privacy.
Williams decorated the apartment. She chose furniture highlighting the floor-to-wall windows; therefore, instead of couches, she chose comfortable white chairs for the living area.
Williams used her old couch in the family room, but she made it feel new by reupholstering it with green leather. She pulled in the colors from their view, the blue skies, and the greenery of the nature of Central Park.
The artist transformed her home into a modern yet comfortable space that her family loved; Meloni even said he was surprised at how cozy an apartment 60 stories above the city can feel.
However, Meloni seemed to have moved from the apartment and has shared several photos of his stand-alone home. The actor showed a glimpse of the kitchen as he appreciated a homemade cake from his family. The kitchen is all white, with glass cabinets and marble countertops.
The living room also looked very cozy. The actor shared a picture from Christmas with the fireplace burning. It was accented with small green square tiles and a wooden mantel to match the room's warm tones.
The rest of the room is kept warm with different shades of brown. The deep burgundy rug patterned with lighter shades compliments the neutral couch and brown leather occasional chairs.
The Meloni family has also transformed their garage into a storage space and the perfect area for the kids to get their painting done. The actor captured his daughter working on a large painting that perfectly fit in the middle of the garage.
Trees surround the outside of the home. The cream-white house has a beautiful patio decked out with black and white outdoor furniture. The big yard is also perfect for their dog. Meloni's house is full of light and is encircled by large windows.
Meloni has built immense success for himself as an actor. He continues to grace screens and has now reportedly built a net worth of $28 million.
Christopher Meloni's Daily Routine
The actor has an intense workout routine, and since he can do it all at home, he revealed that he does his exercises in the nude. The actor is comfortable doing all in broad daylight with the curtains open, but his wife does not like him working out naked.
But to maintain his body, the actor has a few staple meals in rotation. He does his workouts before he eats, so he will do a bit of stretching, followed by yoga then he goes for intense exercises.
His morning meals are not that exciting; the actor has an egg with many egg whites. For lunch, his go-to meal is a bowl of rice with chicken and spinach. The secret to making it tasty is a splash of Worcestershire sauce.
To get through the day, he will add a simple smoothie with frozen banana and a bit of protein powder. His snacks are also basic; Meloni likes plain yogurt with berries.
For dinner, he still likes to have a healthy meal; he will have his usual brown rice with either spinach, asparagus, or Brussels sprouts, paired with chicken, fish, or a nice piece of steak without a lot of fat.
As much as Meloni is very disciplined with his diet, he has a few guilty pleasures. He loves french toast, pancakes, or tiramisu. The actor also loves a glass of red wine, whiskey, or a shot of tequila.
In the acting industry, nothing is certain, TV shows come and go, and income is based on how many jobs one can get. Therefore, Meloni suffered a lot of anxiety regarding his career.
He feared failing, and after "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit" ended, he worried about his next step, but he was brought back for the sequel "Law and Order: Organized Crime."
However, during his time off, Meloni realized that there were bigger things to worry about in life, like the well-being of his family. But he also appreciated that he became a better husband and father and worked on mental health.
Now the actor is ready for anything thrown in his direction. If it ever happened that his current show ended, he would be fine. Nonetheless, Meloni is enjoying the ride, being present, and doing everything to be the best at his job.
