Rod Wave's Kids Faced Family Difficulties as Toddlers & Remain Private

Rod Wave's kids were born during their parents' long-term relationship. While their father is a rising star in the music industry, little is known about them and their mother. However, according to a police report, both his children were present during a physical altercation between their parents.

During their parents' four-year relationship, Rod Wave's twin daughters were born to a rapper on the rise following one of his song's popularity on TikTok and a mother whose identity is unknown.

Their father is a reserved man who has shared in interviews that he chose to keep his personal life away from the spotlight. However, Rod Wave's daughters and their homelife made headlines after it was revealed that they were in the home when their father strangled their mother.

Rod Wave's Kids Became Part of His Song before They Were Born

Rod Wave's daughters were born in 2021, and in 2020, their father released his song "Thug Motivation," which confirmed that his girlfriend was pregnant. Some lyrics read, "My girl pregnant with twins, look how God blessed me again. Took so many losses, can't believe I finally get to win."

While Rod Wave's daughters have been kept out of the spotlight, their father has spoken about his experience with fatherhood during interviews. He said:

"For me, fatherhood changed the way I see the world in a bunch of ways. I look at girls different; I look at every girl, and I'm like, 'Damn, that's somebody's daughter.'"

During an appearance on The Breakfast Club, Rod Wave revealed that before becoming a father, he would catch flights regularly. But after welcoming his twins, he enjoyed traveling less and wished he could be home.

Rod Wave's Complicated Relationship with His Baby's Mom

During an interview in 2020, Rode Wave revealed that his tour had been halted due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The rapper said how the situation unfolded was unfortunate, but the pandemic allowed people to slow down and feel appreciative.

Rod Wave revealed that he was spending his free time with his girlfriend and family. And in 2021, his relationship with his mystery partner was still going strong as he revealed that he was in love. Rod Wave said:

"I'm in love right now. You know you're in love when you're happy."

However, in 2022, Rod Wave and the mother of his children's relationship turned bitter when she told the police that he was physically aggressive with her after entering her home.

Rod Wave was arrested during a traffic stop for a felony charge of domestic battery and was released on bond.

Rod Wave's daughter's mother chose to have her name removed from court records when she told officials that she heard her front door opening while she was sleeping.

According to Rod Wave's daughter's mother, the rapper came into her room and assaulted her, accusing her of talking to other men. According to the affidavit, Rod Wave left and then came back.

When he returned, Rod Wave broke his girlfriend's storage shelves near her front door and two photos. Rod Wave's daughter's mother was left with a scratch on her neck but declined medical assistance.

He was arrested during a traffic stop for a felony charge of domestic battery and was released on bail. He pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Rod's Own Childhood Was Not a Cloudless One

Like fellow rapper ASAP Rocky, Rod Wave came from very humble beginnings. His mother worked for a cable company; however, they moved around a lot. Over the years, Rod Wave lost his father, who spent seven years in prison, and multiple people closest to him.

By age 15, Rod Wave was arrested and sent to a juvenile detention center. During an interview, he revealed that he grew up in a harsh environment and almost gave up on music. However, he persevered and is now known as a popular rapper.
