The DJ Stephen "tWitch" Boss was honored at an emotional memorial service. The dancer's family and close friends gathered to pay tribute to him after he took his own life at the age of 40. The memorial service had over 500 attendees, including close personal friends and co-workers.

Stephen's wife, Allison Holker, spoke at the service, saying she hoped to honor her late husband in a way he deserved. The service included honorary performances by singers and dancers who worked with Stephen, and guests included Ellen DeGeneres, Jeff Thacker, Wayne Bradi, and other famous faces.

Allison added, "He deserves to be celebrated." Allison also revealed that the family started the Move with Kindness Foundation, a non-profit that aims to help others struggling with mental health as Stephen did.

Although Allison is filing for access to Stephen's estate, she is not asking for administration over the estate.

Following Stephen's death, Allison had to file a California Spousal Property Petition to prove she was the dancer's spouse. The petition is necessary since Stephen died without a will, leaving Allison unable to claim Stephen's share of their joint estate after his death.

Stephen 'Twitch' Boss Died without a Will: His Wife Is Forced to File for Control of Estate

Allison filed her petition for Stephen's half of their joint estate to be released almost two months after her husband passed away. The legal documents are supposed to prove that she is Stephen's surviving spouse. The documents also showed that Stephen died without a written will.

After Stephen's death, Allison took a break from social media.

By including facts about their relationship, such as when they were married and the fact that they started out with "no money," Allison hopes the court will rule in her favor and allow her to access Stephen's half of their estate. The petition also specified that Stephen lived in California throughout his marriage and didn't have a will. Allison stated:

"It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share my husband Stephen has left us. Stephen lit up every room he stepped into ... He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans."

Although Allison is filing for access to Stephen's estate, she is not asking for administration over the estate. If the court rules in Allison's favor, she will have access to Stephen's half of Stephen Boss Productions, his Goldman Sachs investment, as well as royalties from various projects.

Allison Finally Returned to Social Media after Beloved's Death

After Stephen's death, Allison took a break from social media. She refrained from posting for an extended period and finally broke her radio silence a while after Stephen's passing. Allison posted a montage of family photos set to Rihanna's "Lift Me Up." She captioned the post:

"To my husband, best friend, babe, Chee-chalker, Superman and father of my children I LOVE YOU FOREVER and ALWAYS! We will forever remember you as the true beacon of light that you were and we will continue to cast your light and love throughout the world."

Stephen is survived by his wife and their two biological children, Maddox Boss and Zaia Boss. Stephen was also the adopted father of Allison's child from her previous relationship, Weslie. A source confirmed that Allison spent a long time after Stephen's death ensuring the children were fine.

Connie also made an Instagram post to honor her lost son, saying she is glad she had the chance to raise Stephen.

Allison's priority was assuring the kids that their dad's death wasn't their fault. She also wanted to show them that they could keep his memory alive by investing time into things he cared about. She also wanted her kids to know how much Stephen loved them.

His Mom Still Can't Believe He's Gone

Stephen's mother, Connie Boss Alexander, spoke up about the loss of her son, saying it feels unreal. On February 5, Stephen was honored during the 2023 Grammys with a performance by Quavo and Maverick City Music. During the segment, a picture of the DJ was shown with his name. Connie commented:

"It will never seem real. I miss you! I love you to infinity and beyond. Keep shining bright for us!"
