Ming-Na Wen's Husband: The Actress Found Love with Eric Michael Zee after a Previous Marriage
Ming-Na Wen's husband, Eric Michael Zee, has been with her for over two decades. The actress, who constantly celebrates her family on social media, married her husband two years after finalizing her divorce from her first marriage.
Ming-Na Wen is a Chinese-American actress born in Macau on November 20, 1963. She grew up in Hong Kong before her mother remarried, and they moved to New York, where she attended school and fell in love with acting in third grade.
She then graduated with a degree in theatre and got her big break in the early 1990s, even though she started acting in the mid-1980s.

Ming-Na has starred in several movies and series but became famous for her roles as Jing-Mei Chen in over 100 episodes of "ER," Melinda May in "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," and Fennec Shand in "The Mandalorian" and "The Book of Boba Fett."
Additionally, the actress has also voiced several video games and animations. As her career progressed, so did her personal life. On May 19, 1990, she married screenwriter Kirk Aanes known for producing "Love Thy Neighbor."
Their marriage did not last long, as they finalized their divorce in 1993. Even though their union did not produce children, they remained friends until he died in 2014.
Two years later, she married actor Eric Michael Zee on June 16, 1995. Ming-Na Wen and her second husband have since welcomed two children.

Ming-Na Wen Used to Be Married to Screenwriter Kirk Aanes, but Their Marriage Lasted Only Three Years
Ming-Na's first husband, Kirk, was a screenwriter born in the United States on August 5, 1964. He was known for writing several series and the play, "The Book of Lamb."
His career started in 1993 when he wrote two episodes of "General Hospital." The screenwriter went on to write over 600 episodes of "Loving" and over 300 episodes of "The City."
There is no information and how and when Kirk and Ming-Na met, but they were considered a happy couple until their amicable divorce.

Kirk had atherosclerotic heart disease and died in Fort Myers, Florida, on January 11, 2014. When Ming-Na learned of his death, she tweeted:
"Just learned of the passing of Kirk Aanes. My condolences to his famiy and loved ones. He was a good soul. RIP, dear one."

After Her First Marriage, Ming-Na Wen Found Happiness Again with Actor Eric Michael Zee
Two years after her divorce, Ming-Na met Eric. He is an actor who graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Arts in Drama and Communications in 1988.
He furthered his education and got his Master's degree in Acting Program in 1993 from the University of California, Los Angeles. The actor started his career in 1987 and has starred in several movies and series.
He is known for his roles in "Filthy Preppy Teen$," "The Girl Within," "The Single Guy," "Independence Day," "Dr. Quinn. Medicine Woman," and more.
He and Ming-Na met in 1993 before the "The Joy Luck Club" screening, where she starred as June. Her friend and co-star Rosalind Chao could not give her a ride, so she called her acting teacher in Los Angeles, who asked Eric to call her.
At the time, they were both not into dating Asian people, but the actress revealed during "The Joy Luck Club Reunion Live" that fate happened, and they married two years later.
The couple celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary in 2022, and the actress shared the happy moment on her Instagram. Ming-Na shared a picture of her and Eric, and in the caption, she wrote:
"My sweetheart got me a sweet treat.❤️🍰 Happy anniversary, Eric! 🍾🎉🎊❤️🥰 27 years married to the sweetest man in the galaxy. 😘#happywife #luckygirl. Thank you for all the years of love, support, laughter, friendship, and…well, you know….#thebirdsandthebees."
For their 26th anniversary in 2021, Ming-Na revealed that she and Eric had eloped. In an Instagram post, she wrote: "Eric, I love you more NOW than when we eloped 26 years ago!! You make me laugh, smile and feel loved and protected every single day."
The actress has never hidden her love for her husband and uses every opportunity to celebrate him on social media. On his birthday in 2022, she called him "the best human in the world!"
For Valentine's Day in 2022, she advised her fans to hold onto their loved ones with all their heart as she shared pictures of her and Eric. On Father's day that same year, she took him on vacation to the French Riviera, where they celebrated their anniversary.
To celebrate his birthday in February 2023, Ming-Na posted a picture of both of them, and in the caption, she wrote:
"He is everything one could ever hope for in a soulmate and husband. What fun celebrating him with some of our longtime and dearest friends. To health, happiness, and love."

Ming-Na Wen Has a Son and a Daughter Who Follows in Her Footsteps
On November 21, 2000, Ming-Na and Eric welcomed their first child, daughter Michaela Zee, and their second child, son Cooper Dominic Zee, arrived on October 13, 2005.
Their daughter graduated from The New School in 2022 after gaining a degree in Journalism & Design with a minor in Fashion Studies. However, long before she graduated, she began walking in her mother's footsteps.

In 2004, Michaela starred as a baby alongside her mother in "Perfection." She has also voiced Ginger Hirano on "Phineas and Ferb" and Princess Jun in "Sofia the First."
Micheala's most recent voicing credit is as Nafisa in the 2018 animated comedy, "Ralph Breaks the Internet." She voiced alongside other notable stars, including Gal Gadot, John C. Reilly, Taraji P. Henson, Sarah Silverman, and more.

Ming-Na's son Cooper is still a teenager, and she revealed that he is a nerd who shares many geek moments with her. For his 16th birthday in 2021, she wrote:
"I'm so [...] proud of this amazing kid! Not only is he the kindest, but he's also a nerd! 👍🏼👏🏼 We've shared so many geek out moments!"
The actress constantly celebrates her family on social media and never fails to sing praises of her husband and children. She also lets her children know that she is proud of them.
