Marie Osmond Wishes Brother Jay Osmond a Happy Birthday with a Youthful Throwback Photo of Them

Marie and Jay Osmond are one of nine children between Olive and George Osmond, who were married between the 20th and 21st centuries for six decades. Here is a look at Marie's birthday wish for her 68-year-old brother.

On March 2, Marie Osmond shared with her 365,000 Instagram followers a sweet birthday wish she prepared for her brother, actor, film, and music producer Jay Osmond. The post included a throwback photo of herself and the producer, who's edging ever closer to 70.

In the caption, Marie says she wishes her older brother the best birthday yet and reassures the producer that he is loved. She also sheepishly mentions that he's celebrating his 68th birthday using a peeping-through-fingers emoji.

The actress's older brother was born in Ogden, Utah, on March 2, 1955. His sister Marie was born just over four years later, on October 13, 1959, and is one of the most recognizable members of his big family.

Jay Was One of the Osmonds

Jay is a layered and talented artist. He is well known to be the youngest member of the band, The Osmond Brothers. Not only is he an accomplished producer, but the 68-year-old is also a singer and drummer. Jay's career began early in his toddler years, and he was already a performer at the age of two.

He is the lead singer of their song "Crazy Horses," where he flexed his drum skills. The band consisted of his siblings Merrill, Wayne, Alan, and Donny Osmond, who later left the group to branch out as a solo act. Merrill and Jay were the only members remaining in the band after everyone dropped out for a solo career and retirement.

The producer is also credited for being a part of seven projects, including "The Gift of Love," and "Bob Hope Presents the Chrysler Theater," and executive produced "Marie," a TV series starring his sister and now-deceased actor, Gavin Macleod. He has been married twice thus far, initially to Kandilyn Harris and currently with Karen Randall from May 21, 2014.

Jay comes from a big family and shares his parents, Olive Osmond and George Osmond, with eight other siblings. Jay's siblings are Virl, Tom, Alan, Merrill, Wayne, Jay, and Jimmy Osmond. Their parents were married in 1944 and remained together for six decades until their mother, Olive, died in 2004.

Despite their gradual split as a music group, the siblings remained close as ever. Marie, one of two sisters, once paid tribute to her brothers on National Siblings Day with an Instagram post concluded with the hashtag #FamiliesAreForever.
