Jim Gaffigan's Wife Jeannie Captivates in Pink Dress with a Train in His Appreciation Post
Standup comedian Jim Gaffigan wished a happy International Women's Day to the most important woman in his world yesterday, his wife and writing partner, Jeannie Gaffigan, on social media.
Jeannie Gaffigan wears a beautiful Barbie pink ball gown, and a tiara frames her up-do in the photo. Jim Gaffigan continued in the caption, "The foxhole of parenting is tight quarters, and I'm glad I'm in there with you." A fan joked that the message would have been better if his wife had written it.
A fan left a comment for Jeannie, "Oh, you look beautiful!! It's fun to see you outside of your hard-working mom/business partner persona... you are such a lovely person! " No one argued with the standup's praise of his spouse, one saying, "She's so amazing!!! Loved her book. Truly an all-around talented woman."

Jeannie and Jim, both Midwesterners, met in Manhattan, where they lived on the same block at the dawn of the new millennium. He assisted her with a workshop for her non-profit, and she helped him refine his acting skills for CBS comedy, "Welcome to New York."
Asked how she'd sum up the experience, she said: "Mom interrupted."
The comedy couple married in 2003. Together they wrote "The Jim Gaffigan Show," which co-starred Ashley Williams, and she co-wrote and produced his comedy specials. Jeannie collaborated on his humor books "Dad Is Fat" and "Food: A Love Story."

Jeannie Gaffigan Battled with a Brain Tumor & Survived It
The mother of five was at the pediatrician with her kids when the doctor picked up that Jeannie not being able to hear out of one ear was not a byproduct of raising a large brood. She was referred to specialists, eventually getting face time with Dr. Joshua Bederson, a top New York neurologist.
During a nine-hour surgery, they successfully removed a tumor the size of a pear from her brain stem. Like Kumail Nanjiani and Emily V. Gordon writing the Oscar-nominated film "The Big Sick," after Gordon's illness; Jeannie turned to art to contextualize her experience.

The result was "When Life Gives You Pears: The Healing Power of Family, Faith, and Funny People," a well-received book that had her husband and kids with her on the cover. The memoirist also spearheaded Imagine Society, a youth group organization.
Asked how she'd sum up the experience, she said, "Mom interrupted. No, I would summarize it by saying that sometimes you need like a big reminder to realize how grateful you are to be alive and for your life."
