Nicola Coughlan Reunites with 'Bridgerton' Co-star Luke Newton While There's Still No Season 3 Release Date
According to reports, Nicola Coughlan, the star of "Bridgerton," more so in the upcoming season, took to Instagram to tease fans with a picture of herself and her co-star. Despite no release date, there is ongoing excitement about the series' third season.
Nicola Coughlan, who most recently played Penelope Featherington in the hit Netflix series "Bridgerton," has shared a selfie on Instagram of herself and her co-star Luke Newton, who plays Colin Bridgerton in the series.
The photo shows the pair embracing each other in what seems like an enjoyable moment. They had their tongues out and their hands extended away from their bodies, showing some excitement.
In the caption of Coughlan's posts embedded above, we see her leaving room for fan perspective, writing "Insert caption here." Her co-star, Newton, also took to Instagram to share some of their snaps.
The "Bridgerton" stars held back from revealing too much in their captions. While Coughlan left it up to fans to write about their photo, Newton did the same, only inserting two emojis that describe their facial expressions.

With the anxious anticipation of fans worldwide ahead of season three's release, any media or news related to the series is bound to make waves on social media. Coughlan was seen on set in Bath, England, reportedly shooting season three. The news of this sighting excited fans, though her love interest was not spotted during filming.
There is also news of a new character entering the third season, who, according to E! News, is a young sexually and financially liberated widow named Lady Tilley Arnold, played by Hannah New. The new cast member said:
"Can't wait for you all to meet Lady Tilley Arnold... I couldn't wish for a more fabulous, formidable, fun, and sexy woman to play!"

With all the excitement around the following season, the storyline was expectedly to be about the next sibling Benedict Bridgerton played by Luke Thomson, and his love interest. However, fans have been informed that season three will revolve around Coughlan and Newton's relationship.
The growth in their relationship during the second season was a good indicator that they would be the item of the season. Speaking to E! News, Simone Ashley confirmed one thing and made another strong suggestion that reveals a lot about Coughlan and Newton's upcoming on-screen relationship. She said:
"Yes, there will be a post-marriage Kanthony story for sure, and I'm super excited for the world to see Nicola and Luke rock it, but also to just play with the Anthony and Kate story now that they're loved up, and they've kind of sorted themselves out."

Shortly after the successful release of "Bridgerton" season one in 2020, the cast began working on the second season. Following the high ratings for the first two seasons, a future season three and season four were announced in April 2021.
Season three's release date is yet to be announced, but it has been confirmed that they began filming in the Summer of last year. Fans are hopeful the next season will be released this year.
Some cast members confirmed to have a part to play in seasons three and four are Johnathan Bailey and Simone Ashley. Adversely Regé-Jean Page and Phoebe Dynevor are guaranteed to have no part in the next season.
