Actress, screenwriter, producer, and director Renee Taylor recently celebrated her 90th birthday, and her friends joined her to commemorate the significant milestone.
One of her friends, Marlo Thomas, shared an image from the birthday, and despite the sweet moment the picture displayed, many fans were appalled to see that TV host Joy Behar was part of the celebration.

Behar, who is one the founding hosts of the famous talk show "The View," has stirred up a lot of controversies, and some viewers have written her and the show off.
Joy Behar Showing Up for the Party Scandalized Marlo's Fans
It was a shocker to most users that Baher was part of Taylor's friendship group. One user said the TV host did not belong, and another seconded them. "There's no one I can't stand more," added a commenter.
Some users said the Behar was only associated with the group of women because of their Hollywood status. In the same instance, fans remembered to highlight the significance of the picture, the birthday celebration.
Fans congratulated the actress on her big day and thanked her for the joy and laughter she has brought into the world through her long-standing career.
But users were still distracted by Behar's presence. Fans said they found "The View" to be a hateful show they would never watch again, then continued to advise Thomas to invite better friends than Behar.
Some commenters were surprised to see that Behar had a friendship group. "Is that NASTY BEHAR?" wrote one user. What seemed like an innocent picture of women celebrating a friend turned into an outburst of negativity, raising questions about the hate surrounding Behar.
Why Is Joy Hated So Much?
Most of Behar's hate was directed at the show she represents, "The View." One viewer thought it was "shameful" and that the chemistry among the hosts was "toxic."
The same angry commenter reiterated that the show only spread lies and disliked the way it allowed hosts to get away with their untruthfulness. "Cancel them off the air" they are a disgrace to our country." Brainwashers!" they expressed.

Another user expressed the same sentiment, saying, "Cancel the hateful show." However, Behar was fired from "The View" in 2013 but returned two years later in 2015. Still, fans of the show said she left because of a lack of knowledge. "She was fired because she was ignorant," said a viewer.
More fans showed no remorse for her exit and even said the show was outnumbered and needed prettier hosts. "Haha, Thank Goodness! Bye-bye Joy. Whoopi next" followed up another user.
The controversy around Behar stemmed from her time on "The View." The comedian is not afraid to stir up a discussion and loves to embrace topics where she disagrees with her co-hosts.
In one episode, the panel of "The View" was asked if they would let one of their sisters sell crystals at a bakery they owned. Everyone besides Behar responded no.
Sunny Hostin reckoned the crystals would ruin the ambiance of the bakery, while Sara Haines compromised that they could have a pop-up shop where she could bring her baked goods.
However, Behar reasoned that family should never fight over such, and Haines said Behar was being selfish because she had many sisters, and since she's an only child, she explained, "I'm an only child, and I'm very 'have largesse.'"
But by this time, Behar had already made her point and folded her card, so she ended the conversation by saying, "You know, you guys are being unbelievable."

Although many avid watchers of the show expressed their concerns about it and the people that host it, Behar reflected on the time she was fired and how she felt about her departure.
Joy Behar Opened Up About Why She Was Happy to Be Fired
In one of the episodes of "The View," the topic of discussion was workplace friendships, which encouraged Behar to look back at the time she was fired.
The talk show host revealed that she was happy to be let go because she had lost all her friends. "I always have friends where I work, and if I don't have friends at the job, I will not keep the job," Behar said.
Additionally, the host said whenever she was asked how she felt about being fired, she explained that most of her friends had already left, so there was no reason for her to stay longer.
As Behar spoke, her co-host Whoopi Goldberg kept making sad faces and even asked if she was not part of her friends since she joined the crew in 2007 and has been the host of “The View” since.

But Behar clarified that Goldberg was one of her backstage friends, and they both clarified that they were just joking.
However, Behar goes a long way with "The View"; she was one of the founding members in 1997 when the show first aired. She returned to the show two years after getting fired and said she came back because they begged her to.

But, 26 years later, at 80 years, she still makes people laugh and is not afraid to be part of the controversy. In an old interview, she was asked how she survived the backlash from the show and said she had a lot of therapy. She also reiterated that it was just television, and people had to not take it so seriously.
