The New York Daily reported that the man who called for help was later identified as Quincy Paglaro, a camera operator known for his work on several TV projects, including "The 100."

Paglaro reportedly reached out for police assistance because, at the time, he was unsure of what else to do about his girlfriend's behavior.

In a Los Angeles Court hearing in September 2018, Avgeropoulos's attorney, Shawn Holley, stated that the actress's boyfriend had no intention of pursuing charges.

Paglaro reportedly said he did not know that contacting the police would lead to her arrest, citing that similar situations are managed differently in his hometown in Canada.

Avgeropoulos's boyfriend also told police that the marks they found on his body when they responded were wounds from a mountain biking accident. It reopened during their argument.

Before the couple's argument, the renowned actress reportedly experienced an adverse reaction to her new medication because she had mixed it with wine when they had dinner that evening.

The couple continued living together in Canada afterward. Paglaro also claimed she had never been violent toward him and that he did not need a protective order because she did not pose a threat to him.

In December 2018, the L.A. court ultimately dismissed the duo's case after it was determined that Avgeropoulos never intended to harm her boyfriend.

The actress's outburst resulted from an adverse medication reaction, the court ruled, and there was no intentional act of violence on her part.
