Vanessa Hudgens Headed to the Philippines to Explore Her Filipino Heritage in Upcoming Travel Documentary
Vanessa set out on her journey to the Philippines in March, and the Disney star killed two birds with one stone as she used the trip for her upcoming travel documentary and was able to reconnect with her Filipino roots.
The actress's mother relocated from the Philippines to America when she was 25, and although Vanessa was born in America, she has spoken about her pride as a half-Filipino. The director of Vanessa's upcoming travel documentary said.
"We are honored to work with Vanessa for this film project. It's inspiring to note that with everything she has achieved in life, she wants to discover her Filipino roots and pay homage to her mother's country."
During an interview, Vanessa Hudgens, who has followed a pescatarian diet for nearly a decade, revealed she had broken her diet during her travels to indulge in the cuisine of the Philippines fully. "So I broke my pescatarian lifestyle for chicken adobo, and I'm so glad that I did. It's worth it," she revealed.
