Rebel Wilson just made a confession that many didn't see coming. But it's the confidence she showed right after, which has left everyone talking. Because while she questioned the idea of a "bikini body," her photos told a completely different story.

She Chose Health over Numbers

The actress has spent years sharing her journey with weight, health, and self-acceptance. Now, she's combining honesty with confidence. Wilson has long been open about her struggles with emotional eating, something that shaped her early relationship with food.

In 2020, she made a major shift, committing to what she called a "year of health." Instead of focusing on a target weight, she focused on feeling better overall.

"You never want it to be about the number, because it really isn't about that. It's about: I was doing some unhealthy things to my body, and I just wanted to change it and become a healthier person," she shared. That mindset became the foundation of everything that followed.

The Transformation and the Reality Behind It

By 2022, Wilson had lost around 80 pounds, a transformation that made headlines. But she didn't present it as a perfect success story. She has repeatedly emphasized that her weight fluctuates, especially during stressful periods.

One of the biggest changes came when she became a mother. Wilson welcomed her daughter, Royce Lillian, via surrogate in November 2022 with her wife, Ramona Agruma.

"I did gain weight once I had my baby, because although I didn't give birth to her and I didn't need to lose any baby weight, I had just gained weight from the lack of sleep and from the change in my lifestyle," she explained.

Wilson added that she couldn't go to the gym as often as she used to. Hence, since she was not working out as much, that slowed down her weight loss journey. It was a reminder that real life doesn't follow a strict routine.

The Honest Statement That Sparked It All

Now, as she prepares to welcome her second child, Wilson is reflecting on her body in a new way. In a candid message shared via Instagram Stories, she wrote, "I don't think I'll ever have a bikini body — that's just not me."

But the second part of her message is what truly resonated. "But my body has carried me through this life, and I am so grateful for it!" she declared. That balance — between realism and gratitude — has defined her approach.

She also revealed that along her journey, she experimented with different methods, including briefly trying Ozempic, the FDA-approved type 2 diabetes medication sometimes used for weight loss.

From Boat Days to Beach Birthdays

Despite her statement, Wilson has never shied away from wearing swimsuits — and doing it confidently. Back in 2021, she shared a sun-kissed moment on a boat in a black bikini on Instagram. Styled with a white hat and gold-framed sunglasses, the look was relaxed yet striking.

In 2022, she switched things up with a stylish three-piece swimsuit in another post shared on Instagram. Wilson looked stunning, posing against a serene ocean backdrop.

The "Pitch Perfect" star followed it up with a second shot in the same outfit, seated in the shade and looking effortlessly glamorous. Then came her most recent moment.

In a birthday celebration shared on Instagram, Wilson posed in a bold orange swimsuit, both solo and alongside friends in the water.

She captioned it, "Birthday post: I’m so grateful for my family and friends and that I followed my crazy malaria-induced dream at 18 to become an actress and not be a lawyer! What a ride these 46 years have been!"

Fans Say What Everyone Was Thinking

The reaction online was immediate and overwhelmingly supportive. One fan commented, "Happy birthday, lovely, you look amazing." Another person highlighted her journey, "I'm grateful you made your health a top priority 🔥."

Some were stunned by her age, with one saying, "Omg! 46!?! I hope to look that good at 46! Happy birthday 🎂." Others kept it simple but sincere. "Rebel looking stunning as always ❤️," one fan wrote.

And one comment added a playful twist, "She is ready for Baywatch," a fan joked. Together, the reactions painted a clear picture that fans aren't focused on labels — they're celebrating confidence.

The Routine That Keeps Her Grounded

Wilson has continued to share what her day-to-day health routine looks like. She revealed, "I'm trying to get in my daily steps, do a Pilates class once or twice a week, some strength training when I can, eat as healthy as I can."

Still, she's also realistic about balance as she uses medication to lose weight. "But let's face it, I love sweets so I need those GLP's [sic] from time to time to give a little help," said Wilson. To the actress, weight loss is not about perfection but about consistency.

The Moment That Changed Everything

Wilson's journey didn't begin with a trend — it started with a deeply personal wake-up call. In 2019, during a visit to a fertility doctor, Wilson was told she would have a better chance of freezing her eggs if she lost weight.

"He looked me up and down and said, 'You'd do much better if you were healthier,' " she recalled. Wilson was taken aback by the statement, thinking, "'Oh God, this guy's so rude.' He was right."

She added, "It's almost like I didn't think of my own needs. I thought of a future child's needs that really inspired me to get healthier." That moment shifted her priorities completely.

Still a Work in Progress

Even after major progress, Wilson has never framed her journey as finished. She disclosed that she has been struggling to lose weight for over 20 years, mostly due to her complicated relationship with food. Therefore, she knew a bit about what it takes to see progress.

Wilson shared the details, saying, "Going on long walks, eating more protein, and just being grateful, those are things you don't need to go to some mega fancy facility to learn. I've learned to change my behavior slowly and become more healthy, and I'm proud of myself, but it's still a journey."

The actress also streamlined her weight loss process by having a supplement routine. As an ambassador for Olly, she uses their supplements, which are quicker and easier.

She explained, "During my year of health, I was swallowing a lot of tablets and supplements, and I was like 'God, this takes me like 20 minutes'… Then I saw Olly… It takes like two seconds in the morning.

By 2024, Wilson reached a place of acceptance. She said she's comfortable at a weight that is "still curvy and solid." Wilson added, "I feel strongly that young women shouldn't try to obsess over looking like Victoria's Secret models — they should just look like themselves."

Now Focused on Family and the Future

Today, Wilson's life is centered on her growing family. In December 2025, Agruma revealed they are expecting their second child in a heartfelt Instagram post.

She wrote, "The happiest news in our family 🥰 it will be 4 of us soon! Baby number 2 is on her way ❤️❤️❤️❤️I love you @rebelwilson."

On February 14, Valentine's Day, Wilson also took to Instagram to celebrate her partner. She posted Ramona Agruma's picture posing at the beach, her baby bump exposed.

Wilson wrote, "I’m so lucky to have so much love in my life and lovely things happening thanks to this beauty @ramonaagruma - Happy Valentine's Day (and to all those single people out there - I feel you, I was you for most of my life - live your best authentic life and you will shine and the right person will see your light!)."

The couple has also shared joyful moments with their daughter. One is from a Disneyland trip, and another is where the family posed next to an Easter Bunny during the Easter celebrations.

A Legal Battle in the Spotlight

Now, as the couple awaits the arrival of their second child, Wilson is also facing a legal battle that has drawn public attention, with many closely watching how it will unfold.

Charlotte MacInnes is suing Wilson over social media posts she claims defamed her by suggesting she withdrew a complaint to further her career.

In 2024 and 2025, Wilson posted on Instagram that MacInnes — who stars in her film "The Deb" — felt "uncomfortable" after sharing a bath with one of the film's female producers.

Wilson also alleged that MacInnes later retracted a complaint — something MacInnes denies — in exchange for a major theatre role and a record deal.

MacInnes says these claims have damaged her reputation for integrity and honesty, and she is now seeking damages.

Her lawyers have argued that she never made any complaint to Wilson about the incident, adding that Rebel Wilson later used the situation as "leverage" during a dispute with producers over the film's budget and contracts.

As the legal battle continues, Wilson appears unperturbed, focusing on her health goals and her growing family.
