Lainey Wilson Ties the Knot with Devlin 'Duck' Hodges in Stunning Tennessee Ceremony – Photos
Fans are used to seeing the country singer in bell-bottoms and a cowboy hat, but the country star’s Tennessee wedding photos revealed a version of her that many longtime followers barely recognized.
Standing beside former NFL player Devlin “Duck” Hodges in an elegant bridal gown, Lainey Wilson left fans stunned by the softer, more intimate side of her that she rarely shows in public.

Known for her bell-bottoms and wide-brimmed hats, Wilson appeared softer and more elegant than fans are used to seeing beside Hodges, whom she has often described as one of her biggest supporters.

Set against a lush green backdrop with towering mirrored arches, pastel floral arrangements, and a cascading waterfall tucked into the distance, the ceremony felt both elegant and deeply personal.

One image captured the newlyweds embracing at the altar as Wilson’s cathedral-length veil flowed behind her across the grass, while another showed the pair walking hand in hand through an open field in a soft black-and-white portrait.

The country star who once declared she would probably be “90 years old and still wearing bell-bottoms” showed up to her wedding day in a way that immediately caught fans off guard.
The flared silhouettes and wide-brimmed hats that had come to define her image were set aside entirely, replaced instead by a fitted white gown with delicate floral appliqué straps, a textured lace train, and a sweeping veil that added to the dreamy atmosphere of the ceremony.

Hodges complemented the romantic setting in a dark green suit layered over a matching vest and white shirt, finished with a Western-inspired bolo tie that nodded to the couple’s Southern roots.

Together, the pair looked less like a polished celebrity photo shoot and more like two people fully settled into a life they had quietly been building together for years.
The Moment Fans Did a Double Take
The photos quickly sparked a wave of reactions online, many centered on just how different Wilson looked on her wedding day.
"What a beautiful and lovely couple!" wrote one fan. "You look beautiful. I know that you two are going to be so happy," added another.
"I love your dress!! Truly stunning," one fan declared, while another noted, "Beautiful dress Lainey! you sure look different without the hat."

It was a specific photograph, though, that stopped one fan mid-scroll. "That last pic says it all!! Look at his hand, always reaching for his woman!!" they wrote.
The sentiment that earned the widest agreement came from a follower who put into words what so many others were feeling. "She's so beautiful and elegant 😍 I barely recognized her without her cowboy hat. She rarely appears in dresses, she usually wears pants," one wrote.

From Silverados to a Tennessee Waterfall
The story of how these two ended up at a Tennessee waterfall together begins, fittingly, at a no-frills Nashville bar.
Wilson and Hodges met in 2021 through mutual friends, and their very first outing gave her all the information she needed. "We went to this old place called Silverados, and it had free beer and wine from 5 to 10 p.m.," she recalled:
"I was like, 'This boy likes to ball on a budget too. This is gonna work out.'"

In February 2025, Hodges proposed on the steps of country icon George Jones's home in Franklin, Tennessee. Wilson marked the moment on Instagram with a close-up of the ring and the caption: "4x4xU forever ❤️," with the post earning nearly a million likes.
Over the years, Wilson has repeatedly described Hodges as a grounding and deeply supportive presence in her life, saying their relationship pushes her to become a better version of herself.
By the time she celebrated her Academy of Country Music Awards win, he had become such a natural part of her world that many of her industry friends had effectively become his friends too.
She has often portrayed Hodges as the kind of partner who celebrates every success right alongside her, encouraging her at every stage of her career. That steady, outdoorsy presence is part of what has made Hodges such a natural fit in Wilson’s world.
The Man Behind the Nickname
Hodges is a former NFL quarterback who attended Samford University before moving into life beyond football.

The nickname has a story that Wilson shared during a trivia segment. His college football coach once told him he reminded him of a former quarterback he had coached, a man the team called "Duck."
The name spread, the team adopted it, and it stuck. As it turned out, the fit went deeper than football. Hodges is also an avid duck hunter.
Away from the field, he is the founder of Club Country Co, an outdoor and golf apparel brand built around the belief that the same values show up "on the course, in the field, and everywhere in between."
The range includes performance polos, featherweight button-up shirts, hoodies, and headwear, all designed for those who move between the golf course and the open outdoors without missing a step.

The brand’s outdoors-driven identity reflects many of the same Southern values and rural roots that have long shaped Wilson’s own image and upbringing.
Those shared values have become the foundation for a relationship Wilson has already begun imagining far beyond the wedding day.

A Future She Has Already Planned Out
In an April 2026 magazine cover story, Wilson opened up about freezing her eggs while waiting for Hodges to propose, a decision she called a "big priority." Reflecting on that period, Wilson explained:
"I've focused on my career for so long, and I definitely have something to show for it with my music, but I have other dreams too."
Those dreams have since expanded beyond music and career milestones to include building a family together. Wilson said she believes she would make a great mother and described starting a family with Hodges as something they both deeply want for the future.
She even joked that she already knows exactly how she wants to raise future kids with Hodges:
"I'll be taking them kids on the road and putting them to work. Get them selling merch!"
The comment sounded exactly like the Lainey Wilson fans have come to know over the years: funny, grounded, and unmistakably country.
But somewhere between the waterfall backdrop, the sweeping veil, and the quiet way Hodges stayed close by her side, the wedding also revealed something fans rarely get to see so clearly: Wilson looked completely at home in this new chapter of her life.
