Eileen Tate raised her three children alone after she divorced her husband. The two often bumped heads, and her husband would often lose his temper, sometimes leaving home for days on end. After separating from her husband, Eileen was the sole provider responsible for her children.

She worked hard to support her children, ensuring they had enough to eat and all their basic needs were met. While Eileen assumed the role of a caretaker, working in a school kitchen to keep her family afloat, her husband preferred to act as a role model for his boys.

Eileen and the rest of her family have responded to Andrew's divisive online persona with differing opinions. While some of his relatives are proud of where their family has ended up, others criticize his radical views. When it comes to his political views, however, Eileen is dumbfounded.

Eileen Tate Was a Kitchen Worker

Eileen started life in Luton, UK. Like her children, she spent her childhood in Luton's run-down flats, and even now, after her son became a viral internet figure, the mother of three still lives in her town of origin.

Eileen's marriage was rocky at best.

Growing up, Eileen attended Rotherham High School. After graduating from high school, she studied at Barnfield College, according to her Facebook profile. Despite her education, her career wouldn't take her far away from Luton.

While Eileen's three kids were growing up, she kept them fed and clothed by working at Newman Catholic School as a dinner lady. Although she earned very little by cleaning plates and assisting in regular kitchen duties, she made enough money to keep her kids alive.

Eileen Tate Had Difficulties in Her Relationship with Her Husband

Eileen's ex-husband, Emory Tate Junior, was an impressive figure. Eileen fell head-over-heels in love with him when they first met in Chicksands in Bedfordshire, where Emory's Airforce squadron was stationed in the mid-1980s.

Eileen still lives in Luton, and her Facebook profile suggests she's currently in a relationship.

The two got to know each other while Emory lived in the local Ministry of Defence base, and after a while, they decided to get married. Emory took Eileen with him back to Chicago, where they started their life together in earnest. They had their first son together, naming him Emory Andrew Tate III after his father and grandfather.

Eileen's marriage was rocky at best. Her husband often left her alone with the kids to participate in chess tournaments, and she and Emory often quarreled. Her oldest son recalled that his parents were at each other's throats mere minutes after Emory came home from a lengthy tournament.

Andrew recalled that his mom often couldn't talk to his dad without the man losing his temper. In a Tweet, he recalled, "My mother complained about how crazy dad is and how it's impossible to even speak around him without him losing his temper and going crazy."

Nonetheless, the oldest of the Tate siblings looks up to his father, saying that he may have had a fiery temper, but he instilled many virtues in him that he cherishes to this day. He wrote, "I look back now and THANK him."

What Kind of Relationship Does Eileen Tate Have with Her Son?

Eileen still lives in Luton, and her Facebook profile suggests she's currently in a relationship. She separated from Emory in 1997, which meant she had to raise her three children entirely on her own.

Many of Eileen's family maintain that she had a close-knit relationship with her kids, especially her oldest son, Andrew. Despite this, Andrew remembers his mother as "mean and hard." His family, on the other hand, referred to him as a "Mummy's boy."

His relatives know that Andrew survived a harsh, penniless childhood and give him credit for surviving. Nonetheless, many confess that they don't think Eileen approves of everything he says online. A family friend suggested his mom thinks he says provocative things to build his business. One uncle said:

"He has always treated my sister, his mum, really well and that counts for a lot."

In a recent interview, the online influencer insisted that he pays "15 to 20 percent" of his income to his mother. Eileen has refused to comment about her son, even keeping quiet about how he supports her, but reports have indicated that she receives very little, if any, of Andrew's money.

Nonetheless, Eileen still loves her children. The Luton native, who raised her children on a bare-bones salary, working menial jobs with an absent husband, is still proud of Andrew and her other kids for pulling themselves up by their bootstraps.
