Commonly known for his controversial takes on social media, Andrew Tate's parents and their relationship formed some of the former boxer and TikTok star's headline-catching opinions, often described as "misogynistic."

While a wave of social media users have called for Andrew to be taken off platforms such as Twitter and TikTok, the social media personality revealed that his parents shaped the life lessons he regularly took to social media to share.

From humble beginnings, Andrew grew up in a single-parent home and admitted witnessing his parents' marriage taught him about male/female dynamics. And while his mother's role was to take care of him, Andrew revealed that his father taught him how to be a man.

The Family Life of Andrew Tate's Parents Was Not Smooth

Born Emory Andrew Tate on December 14, 1986, to Emory Tate and Eileen Tate, Andrew spent the first portion of his life in America. Although Emory was a prolific figure in his son's life, he was in and out of the family home.

His son recalled an incident when his father returned from a month-long chess tournament, and he was out the door again less than an hour after he and his wife had gotten into an argument.

Before explaining to Andrew that it was something he would only understand once he was older, Emory left and did not see his son for an additional two weeks.

Although Eileen and Emory's marriage did not last, it did not stop their son from singing their praises regarding their parenting. Andrew said:

"My mother was fantastic. She was an amazing mother. My mother was very much subservient to my father, which was a good thing... I think I learned a lot of my lessons, I guess, on male/ female dynamics to a degree from my childhood."

When their son was still young, Eileen and Emory's marriage collapsed, and she returned to her native country England for its public assistance scheme and housing. Emory remained in the States.

Andrew Tate's Father Was Notable for His Intelligence

Emory served in the Air Force before he was discharged after being diagnosed with Narcissistic Disorder. His son shared that his father was offered a military pension worth thousands, and Emory was recognized as a fantastic member of the Air Force.

After taking an IQ test, Emory was placed in Intelligence in the Air Force and held the record for the Fastest Assimilation of a Foreign Language. He also became a wizard at chess, competing against the best of the best and winning multiple awards:

"Most memorable was his reputation as a brilliant tactician and, thanks to his contagious passion for the game, he often drew crowds to his exciting post-mortem analysis sessions."

Emory died after fainting during a chess tournament. Before his death, he was as outspoken as his son and shared his views on social media.

Andrew Tate Says He Provides for His Mother Financially

Andrew has a reported net worth of millions of dollars from his successful career as a boxer and his fame on social media. While the exact amount is unclear, he often takes to social media to document his lavish lifestyle.

However, he does not spend all his money on finer things, as during an interview, Andrew revealed that he gave his mother 10 - 20% of his income.

Eileen attended Rotheram High School and Barnfield College. She was a dishwasher after she relocated to Bedfordshire, England, and while her son claims to share his fortune with her, their family members state otherwise.

Like many social media users, Andrew's family has divided opinions about his presence in the news. Some of his family have shared that they have disassociated with Andrew following his remarks that people who struggled with their mental health were "useless."

Andrew's uncle shared that Andrew's choice of words was nonsensical and said Emory battled with his mental health. Another one of Andrew's family members added:

"We don't even speak to Andrew Tate or that side of the family. They don't speak to their nan. They are abroad doing whatever they are doing, and we want nothing to do with them."

Eileen still lives in public housing in Andrew's childhood home, which suggests she has not reaped the benefits of her son's wealth. However, it is unclear whether Eileen has refused to accept her son's money or whether he has not offered it, as she has declined to comment on her son.

Andrew Has a Different Relationship with Each of His Siblings

During their marriage, Emory and Eileen welcomed two more children, Andrew's brother, Tristan, born on July 15, 1988, and his sister, Janine.

Like his older brother, Tristan is a former kickboxer, businessman, and social media influencer. He starred in the reality TV show "Shipwrecked" in 2011 and relocated to Romania with his brother.

Although he is not married, Tristan shared that he is a father but did not disclose how many children he has. While Tristan and Andrew share a close relationship, Andrew revealed that he had not spoken to his sister in years. He said:

"I have nothing bad to say about my sister, she just doesn't talk to me. I haven't spoken to her properly in years. I wish her all the best."

Like Britney Spears and her relationship with her sister, Andrew, and his sister are reportedly not on good terms. Janine is a lawyer in Kentucky, and both her brothers have called her a "feminist." She is rumored to be another one of Andrew's family members that have severed ties with him.
