Basking in Her Big Family with 13 Grandkids

Jones has had a long career with many accolades, including an Oscar, and her performances have landed her on Broadway.

From there, she snatched a role on the sitcom, "The Partridge Family," where she played TV's favorite singing mom. The actress appreciated her long career and the opportunity to have tried out every avenue of the entertainment industry.

Jones has no regrets about her life. She's enjoyed it to the fullest and advises everyone to do the same because "before you know it, you'll be 87," she said.

The 89-year-old is primarily proud of raising her three sons, Shaun, Ryan, and Patrick Cassidy, who have all grown to be excellent and successful men. To top it off, they gave her 13 grandchildren.

The actress said she grew up as an only child, so having a big family has been a blessing. She loves getting visits from her grandchildren too. "You have to enjoy this moment—the now—because that's all we have," she expressed.

Before "The Music Man" star married her late husband, Ingels, she was married to actor Jack Cassidy, who unfortunately died too. The actress opened up about her two husbands and what made them each stand out.

When it came to Jack, she loved how handsome and talented he was, but above everything, she loved his humor. Jones even deemed him a better comedian than an actor. However, Ingels won her over with his intelligence, writing skills, and how much of an amazing "grandpa" he was.

Although Jones had two great marriages, she admitted that had Cassidy not died; she did not believe she would have married Ingels. However, there is no denying that her union with Ingels gave her the security she never knew she needed, so she will forever appreciate both her late husbands.

Jones created a big, beautiful family and has loved being its matriarch and watching her sons build their own families and expand her legacy.

Her sons are also protective of their mother, who would sometimes feature on their social media platforms. One of them, Ryan, once proudly shared a picture of him and his brothers standing behind their mother after an Easter church service. "I am a lucky man," he said.
