A mom was highly criticized after she revealed she cleaned her daughter's messy room. The room was damaged and littered, with clothes and several items left carelessly around it.

The mom, Snowenne, is a professional cleaner and took upon the task of tidying her school-aged daughter's room while she was away on a school trip.

Snowenne meticulously cleaned the room, which had a pile of clutter and different types of garbage, including unclean clothes thrown around the room, meal scraps, dirt, and food wrappers.

According to Snowenne, the main reason for cleaning the room was to tidy the carpet, which was stained with paint and food. She also wanted to remove the extra clutter that had piled up.

After Snowenne was done cleaning, the room turned out sparkly clean. And while many people were in awe of the transformation, many also slammed the mom for a host of reasons.

Documenting the Cleaning Process & the Flak She Received After

Snowenne revealed that the rest of their house had been recently renovated and new carpets were installed. However, her teen daughter's room wasn't dealt with because it was extremely dirty.

Furthermore, Snowenne didn't trust that her daughter could take care of the new flooring, so she just decided to clean the old one.

Some people supported Snowenne's actions and said it was normal and appropriate for a parent to clean their child's room.

She noted that they already had the new carpet, but they wouldn't be installing it until they knew her daughter could take care of it.

In a TikTok video, Snowenne documented the room's transformation, sharing details of her efforts, and captioned it:

"It's time to tackle my daughter's dirty room. She's off on a school trip and thought it was a good time to tackle it. My goal is to go through everything and get rid of as much as I can."

She showed the process of cleaning the room, starting with the removal of the paint splatters from the carpet and furniture. She wiped down all the surfaces, including the sides and shelves.

She gave the desk a fresh lick of white paint and revealed, "We are hoping by the end of summer to redo her entire room. But only time will tell."

Snowenne shared another video on TikTok to show the end results of her cleaning efforts. In the second video, the room looked clean, beautiful, and well-organized.

Her daughter's bed was likewise clean, the floor vacuumed, and all the necessary items that were scattered on the floor were put away in drawers and shelves. The rest of the unnecessary stuff had been disposed of.

Several online users were upset that the mother chose to clean her daughter's room when she was a teenager who could clean it herself. One said:
