Broken Son of Sub’s Deceased Explorer Planned a Conversation That Could Have Saved Dad’s Life
Four days after the Titan submersible went missing, the passengers on board have been presumed dead after debris from the vessel was found by a remote-operated vehicle exploring the site.
The families of the passengers on board were immediately notified, and then a press conference was held to inform the public, who had been waiting with bated breath, to find out the latest news on the vessel.
Now, as the men's fate has been announced, new details from the families have been released. French explorer Paul-Henri Nargeolet's stepson has recently shared his thoughts on his stepfather's career.

77-year-old Nargeolet is known as "Mr. Titanic" because he has explored the Titanic wreck so many times since it was found in the 1980s. However, his stepson was not pleased with his continued expeditions.
Nargeolet's 31-year-old stepson, John, admitted he had been waiting for a miracle and picturing everything he would do with Nargeolet when he came home. He said one of the conversations he planned to have with his stepfather was to try and convince him to stop diving.
However, when he was told on Thursday that debris from the vessel had been found, he admitted that all hope was lost. Although he was shocked, he was also heartbroken at the loss of his stepfather.
While search and rescue teams are still searching for the remains of the five men on board, John believes that because of his stepfather's deep love of the ocean, he should remain there instead of being buried on land.
While John had hoped he would be able to see his stepfather once more and chat with him, he said he realized it was in his stepfather's DNA to want to be in the deep sea, exploring the wreck.
John's Mother Passed Away Too
John's mother, Michele Marsh, was a famous New York TV anchor who passed away in 2017 at 63. John confirmed his mother's death, saying it had been complicated as she had breast cancer.
She had a fruitful career working as a newscaster, which began when she was just 25 years old. Before her death, she was said to be popular with viewers, her main anchor, and her coworkers.
Marsh was born in March 1954 in Detroit and graduated from North Western University, majoring in radio and TV production. Before she joined CBS2, she worked as an anchor at WABI-TV in Bangor and KSAT-TV in San Antonio.
Marsh once shared that soon after her career began, she received fan mail from young boys asking her to run away with them. One even told her his father owned an ice cream truck to try and persuade her.

She even won awards for her achievements in her career and quickly became a household name and a trusted newscaster. After leaving CBS2, she worked at NBC4.
Her first marriage to Nathaniel Price Paschall, John's father, ended in divorce. When she passed away, she was survived by her second husband, Nargeolet, and son.
