The recent news of Danielle Fishel's past experiences on "Boy Meets World" has brought attention to a concerning issue young stars face in Hollywood. Unfortunately, unwanted attention and harassment are common, and in Fishel's case, she recalled being targeted by "creepy" men.

Through the years, many more people have rallied for child stars to have access to a safe and respectful work environment. Most child stars have no idea what this means because they were always exposed to the same situation of being in compromising work sets.

From 1993 to 2000, Fishel starred in "Boy Meets World" and later appeared in "Girl Meets World" in 2014. Despite her young age, she displayed remarkable maturity and was recognized for it by her co-stars

Back when she was a teenager, Fishel wanted to be seen as an adult. So, when she got attention from the opposite sex as a teenager, she didn't see it as disturbing. Rather, she felt they validated her desire to become an adult and saw her as mature whenever they took notice of her.

As she started her own family, she came to the realization that being objectified during her teenage years had a lasting impact on her relationships later in life.

Fans and Co-Stars Weigh In

Rider Strong, Fishel's co-star from "Boy Meets World", agreed with her statement that she was quite mature for her age. Will Friedle, their other co-star, also recognized her as a "confident" individual, even during their teenage years.

When news spread of her interactions with older men on the set of "Boy Meets World," fans couldn't help but comment. They wondered where Fishel's parents were, as it was then their responsibility to keep their daughter safe.

Many have shared their thoughts on how this problem affects not just famous individuals but girls worldwide. To them, it's troubling that girls are starting to look like women at a much younger age, and this is a societal problem that requires attention.

Fishel now has her own family and has realized that as a young teenager, people shouldn't have talked about her in an outward manner, especially to her face.

Fishel's Family Life Away from the Spotlight

Fishel is happily married to Jensen Karp. The pair got married on November 2018, and life has only gotten better for the actress since.

On their first wedding anniversary, Karp expressed his admiration for his wife in a heartfelt message, describing her as the most amazing person on the planet. He wrote a long and detailed message expressing his deep love and appreciation for her, saying:

"I know people say stuff like that all the time, and it’s hyperbole - but I truly believe she is. She has made every day brighter, every joke funnier, and every hug more comfortable."

Karp and Fishel share two sons. Their first son, Adler Lawrence, was born on June 24, 2019, at just 35 weeks old.

Adler's birth was difficult due to fluid in his lungs, which required a lengthy 21-day stay in the NICU. However, after his condition improved, he was able to go home with his parents.

In the end, it was determined by the medical professionals that Adler was suffering from chylothorax, a condition where his lymphatic system was leaking. This led to fluid buildup in his lungs due to Fishel's breast milk, prompting them to switch to a special formula that doesn't rely on Adler's lymphatic system.

The experience was a traumatic one for the new parents, who were not prepared for any complications. "That was obviously devastating for us. It was traumatizing," the devoted mom recalled.

However, Adler's health eventually improved, and he grew up to be a healthy boy. He even adapted to his role as a big brother with ease, as evidenced on the actress' Instagram.

Two years later, on August 29, 2021, the actress proudly shared the birth of their second son, Keaton Joseph. Their first-born son fit into the big brother role perfectly, and Fishel couldn't be happier.

Fishel announced her second pregnancy while celebrating her fortieth birthday. In her announcement, she shared her experiences from each decade of her life.

The actress fondly remembered her beautiful childhood and her unforgettable teenage years. However, she claimed her 20s were mostly miserable, and her 30s were challenging but ultimately brought her a sense of stability.

"I couldn't be more grateful to enter my 40s with my amazing husband and son, excitedly expecting the arrival of baby boy #2," she shared.

Her announcement came a couple of years before her podcast "Pod Meets World" with her co-stars. It was only then that she detailed her traumatizing experiences with predatory men during her time in "Boy Mets World."

The "Pod Meets World" podcast has taken fans on a trip down memory lane, but so did a recent celebration for a fellow cast member.

The "Boy Meets World" gathered to celebrate William Daniels' 96th birthday. The man is best known for playing Mr. Feeny in the hit series.
