In 2013, Trisha turned to Twitter to reveal that while she wished she was "more exotic," she was not. The YouTuber confirmed her race in a tweet that read:

In 2021, another YouTuber posted a video of Trisha claiming to be and impersonating different ethnicities before another content creator unpacked Trisha's' "problematic history with race" in another YouTube video in January 2022.
In May 2022, YouTuber Pinely accused Trisha of fetishizing the Jewish religion, specifically Jewish men, and said, "Trisha Paytas has, for years, been criticized for her weird obsession with Jewish men. And how that obsession feels quite creepy and weird, and I don't like it very much."

That same year, Lenna started her own YouTube channel and became a popular YouTuber with videos ranging from mukbangs, shopping hauls, and hair and makeup tutorials.
A few years later, Trisha dedicated another video to introducing her father to the public, which was followed by social media users questioning the YouTuber on why she had claimed to be Black in the past when she had "extremely white" parents. One person wrote:
"With all of her lies being exposed, it's hard to believe anything that she has said. She claimed multiple times that she is partially Black [...]."
Trisha Paytas Was Diagnosed with a Mental Illness
According to reports, Trisha has struggled with mental illness since age 12. She was diagnosed with Paranoid Schizophrenia at 12 and 18. And in 2019, she was involuntarily committed to a mental facility when she was part of Vlog Squad, a group of YouTubers known for pulling pranks and stunts led by David Dobrik.
Trisha was 31 when she was diagnosed with Borderline Multiple Personality Disorder, and over time, former members of Vlog Squad have accused Dobrik of "fostering a toxic work/creative environment."
