Charo Jokes That Her Son Is 'Getting Ready to Go Find a Wife' after Shirtless Workout

Charo's son Shel Rasten's dating life got a boost this week when his mother shared a shirtless video of him post-workout, where he playfully calls her the paparazzi.

"Hola amigos! I catch my son at the gym getting ready to go find a wife!" Charo captioned a video in which she surprised her son Shel Rasten at his home gym. "He needs all the help he can get, haha! Happy Tuesday, OLE!"

"May he find a wife AT LEAST as beautiful as his Mama! (And one who's at least as great a guitarist, too!)," a fan of the mother and son wrote in the comment section. In the video, Charo giggles as she chases after Shel without her mentioning what her intent is with the footage.

"I've met him, and he is SUCH a sweet and genuine man," an Instagram user wrote, " You raised a good one, so any woman whom he chooses will be one lucky lady." A second said:

"Yeah, thinking he has no problems finding ladies. Maybe he likes being single. "

Actress Tymberlee Chanel low-key threw her hat in the ring, "Your son is making me feel all my feelings. You literally replicated your own perfection in a male form."

Shel Rasten is a flamenco guitarist and poet. Raised in Hawaii, he enrolled in the University Of Southern California to study philosophy but dropped out after becoming "disillusioned" by college life.

Charo agreed when he said she is "slightly embarrassing sometimes."

He wrote, produced, and starred in the short film "The Boulevard" and also produced the shorts "The Jeff Buckley Music Video Tribute Project" "FAMOUS (and on the List)."

The poet had guest starring roles on "CSI: Miami," "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "Workaholics," "Parks and Recreation," and "Anger Management" as a rocker dude.

His last acting role was in "Sharknado 5: Global Swarming" in 2017. He wrote on his Youtube channel that he finds the "Hollywood carousel ultimately meaningless."

Shel Rasten said in an OWN interview with Charo that his mom is protective and "supportive to an incredible extent." Charo agreed when he said she is "slightly embarrassing sometimes, especially in high school."

In April 2019, Charo posted a video planting a tree with her son for her late husband, Kjell Rasten. Kjell died by suicide. He had suffered from depression due to a rare skin disease.
