Brigitte Nielsen Shares Rare Photo with 15-Years Younger Husband as She Celebrates Her 60th Birthday

Entertainer Brigitte Nielsen celebrated her 60th birthday this past weekend. Brigitte Nielsen's husband, Mattia Dessi, made a sporadic appearance in her birthday post.

"My B-day...thank you ALL," Brigitte Nielsen posted on July 15, 2023. She shared snaps in which she twins with their daughter, in a white and blue rara-skirt and peasant top, blows out a candle, and poses with her husband Mattia Dessi in a rare selfie.

Dessi tends to only be in celebratory posts with his wife, like ringing in the New Year in 2021 and their daughter's third birthday in June of that same year.

The first months of Nielson and Dessi's love story were portrayed on her reality show with rapper and reality star Flavor Flav, "Strange Love."

They met in Switzerland in 2004 while he was working as a waiter. The "Red Sonja" actress has said she fell off her chair when she first saw him.

Dessi hails from Sardinia, Italy, and used to model like this wife. The couple had a wedding ceremony in the Dominican Republic in February 2005, which was not legal as Brigitte was still married to actor Raoul Meyer.

The couple married legally a year and a half later, on July 8, 2006, at a Malta resort. She has said that he was "probably more mature" than her mentally.

In an interview in 2011, Nielson showed vulnerability when she confessed to wondering if her husband would still love her when she was 60 and he 45.

On starting a family with her Italian-born husband, despite being told they only had a 2.5 percent chance of conceiving, Nielson held the belief, "Somebody has to win the lottery."

After over a decade of in-vitro fertilization attempts, they welcomed their daughter Frida Dessi on June 22, 2018. Brigitte Nielsen has four sons from previous relationships.
