'Your Superhero Name ?': Hayley Atwell Rocks Face Mask That Gave Fans Superhero Vibes
To Hayley Atwell's loyal Instagram following, her home beauty treatment of a mask on Sunday did not look like a relaxing day, but a call to action for Marvel to do more with her character in the MCU that does not have superpowers.
"Hydrating the visage," Hayley Atwell wrote on July 16, 2023, with a photo of half her face covered with a purple mask with her large eyes peeking through. In the post, she tagged her makeup artist Daniel Martin, who has also worked with Michelle Yeoh.
"I always wanted to see Hayley as a superhero," a fan said, and was reminded by another, "Captain Carter?" The actress became famous for portraying Peggy Carter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe opposite Chris Evans' Capitan America and her stand-alone series "Agent Carter."
Magician Richard Parsons asked, "Your Superhero name? [crying laughing emoji]" An Instagram user enthusiastically suggested, "Hayleotrope!" Her most recent portrayal of Agent Carter was in "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness."
In mid-June, she posted a makeup-free selfie.
"Hear me out.....," another supporter commented, " 'What if Agent Carter possessed the POWER STONE!!!' BOOM, YOU'RE WELCOME MARVEL. Give the people what they want..... more of Ms. Atwell." Atwell is set to voice Lara Craft next, another heroic character that does not possess superpowers.

The Moments in Which Hayley Atwell Feels Most Beautiful
Asked by Harper's Bazaar when she feels most beautiful, Atwell shared that her partner, Ned Wolfgang Kelly, appreciates her looks most when having a "wholesome moment" with her godkids or their dogs, and she is smiling makeup free. As for herself, she says:
"So when I feel my most beautiful is when I'm not really feeling myself; instead when I'm looking at or engaging with something beautiful, then that's lit up in my eyes, or it generates a natural smile from within."
Hayley Atwell has come a long way from wearing ballet flats and a gypsy skirt from London's Portobello Market to movie premiers. But though she might be in one of the biggest summer blockbusters, the 7th "Mission Impossible" with Tom Cruise, she is not above sharing her fresh-faced joy.
In mid-June, she posted a makeup-free selfie wearing a Grenfell FC jersey to promote the charitable work done surrounding the survivors and those affected by the Grenfell Tower fire.
