Man Comes Home & Hears His Wife’s Screams from the Bedroom, Realizes She Isn’t Alone

A man thought he and his wife were in a happy marriage until he happened to come home unexpectedly and found her with someone else. The man who cheated with his wife later contacted the husband needing his help!

In February 2021, a Reddit user with the username Equivalent_Stock_971 took to one of the social media communities to share his story.

He disclosed that he and his wife both worked but had different days off work. One day, he mixed up his off day, thinking he was working, and arrived at work. Instead of being upset, he laughed it off and spent time with his colleagues before driving back home, where he found another car in his parking spot.

Upon entering his home, he heard sounds coming from his bedroom before walking over to surprise his wife, thinking she was having fun by herself. What he saw wasn't what he expected, and it changed his life forever, but in a good way.

A Husband Arrived Home to Hear His Wife's Screams

In 2010, Equivalent_Stock_971 was 27, training to be an EMT, and married to his 24-year-old wife of two years. His wife worked on a Marine base as a career planner, and while their work schedules were the same, they had different days off. The poster stated:

"Forgetting the scheduled switch, I went to work on my day off."

When he arrived at work and realized his mistake, he and his friends laughed and messed around for an hour. He took 20 minutes to drive back to his apartment, but he found a Dodge Challenger parked in his spot when he got there.

Thinking nothing of it because there was plenty of parking space, he parked his car somewhere else and quietly went inside his home. Equivalent_Stock_971 initially thought the sounds he heard were from an adult movie as he and his wife enjoyed them together.

The Reddit user figured he would catch his wife having some fun, but the closer he got to the door, the more he realized that the noise sounded familiar. He shared:

"Came to my apartment door quietly to surprise my wife, and heard yelling coming from our open bedroom door..."

Upon arrival on the threshold, he was shocked to see his wife having sex with another man! Fifteen seconds later, his wife saw him, causing the man she was with to push her off and get dressed.

The poster contemplated attacking the stranger, getting arrested, or even losing his job but thought against it. Amid the chaos, the poster let the stranger pass, even as his wife shouted angrily at him, wanting to know why he was home.

She complained about him being home because it was her day off, and he told her every day would be her off day from then. In a follow-up, Equivalent_Stock_971 explained what happened next.

What Happened After He Found His Wife Compromised?

Walking downstairs, Equivalent_Stock_971 saw the man sitting on the phone in his car, became livid, and went upstairs to get his bowling ball to smash something. His wife stepped before him and tried to stop him, noting that the stranger was leaving.

Despite initially being put off by dating, he fell for another nurse.

He felt ill looking at her and pushed past, but the man was gone when he got outside. The poster cried over all he'd lost. He hated that he could not get revenge. He called his sister, whom he left to live with, even as his wife cried and consistently asked to talk.

A few months later, he got his own place and started studying nursing, but while he and his wife went through a divorce, she pitched at his school and aired their dirty laundry.

A restraining order couldn't keep her away either, and eight months after the cheating, their divorce was almost finalized.

Ironically, the man who slept with his wife contacted him out of the blue, asking him to write a letter to his command claiming Equivalent_Stock_971's estranged wife was harassing him as he wanted to apply to be a policeman. The Reddit user's wife was suing the man for emotional distress.

He even offered to help Equivalent_Stock_971 with the divorce so he wouldn't need to pay alimony. The poster cursed him out and told him he deserved everything coming to him and threatened his wife with reporting violations on their restraining order if she ever gave out his contact information again.

Despite initially being put off by dating, he fell for another nurse. By 2021, he was finally doing well, with a one-year-old son and a fantastic woman he'd recently married, and when he saw his ex-wife on social media, she appeared fine too.
