Charlize Theron Shows off Rarely-Seen Adopted Kids She Raises Alone after Hard Adoption Process
- Hollywood icon Charlize Theron showed off her rarely-seen adopted daughters in a reel she shared on her Instagram for her 48th birthday.
- Theron's journey to motherhood was not an easy one.
- The star tends to keep her kids, who are her life's joy, away from the public eye and the limelight.
Hollywood screen legend and South African-born actress Charlize Theron, 48, realized fairly early on in life that she wanted to become a mother. The "Monster" star recalled being in her 20s when she felt a strong affiliation with motherhood.
At the time, she had a steady boyfriend with whom she would frequently spend time traveling, going out, and partying with. Theron then revealed how it was after her relationship with him had ended that she experienced an all-consuming pull toward becoming a mom.

She had gotten over her young, wild, and free disposition quickly. In a past interview, Theron divulged how she always saw herself becoming a parent through adoption. Her tie to the process was so instinctual that she admitted to having expressed the ordeal to be uncompromisable with previous partners.
For Theron, adoption had always been a first choice and priority as opposed to a secondary option. However, when she started the process, she disclosed:
"...Some of the lowest points in my life were dealing with the first time I filed; it really took an emotional toll. There were many situations that didn't work out, and you'd get attached and have all your hopes up and then just get crushed."
After a few rounds of trial and error, Theron eventually became the mom of two beautiful African-American daughters, Jackson, and August Theron, in 2012 and 2015, respectively. Usually, the mama bear of two prefers to keep her girls out of the limelight and away from public scrutiny. She hardly even posts about them on her social media accounts too.
However, she has previously shared some details about Jackson and August, including their ability to make her laugh like no other. Additionally, when speaking about how she went about adopting as a single parent, Theron said she cast a wide net and did not have any specifics, and of her daughters, she expressed:
"They were born in the United States and they both happened to be African American. Everything that I hoped would happen during my adoption process did happen because these two babies were meant to be in my life — and they're my children."

Charlize Theron Showed Off Her Rarely-Seen Daughters While Celebrating Her 48th Birthday with Them

Yesterday, Theron posted a rare video of her dancing and enjoying a fun night out with Jackson and August at a Taylor Swift concert.
The adorable video, which shows Theron beaming with pride as she lovingly looks at her daughters while all three bust their moves to "Shake It Off," garnered popularity amongst her fans. Many sent well wishes and swooned over how happy Theron looked to be with her beloved kids:
"Awesome you took your girls!! Definitely, the cool mom."

The appearance of her kids on social media is rare because Theron typically keeps her personal life with her children private.
However, fans loved getting a glimpse into Theron's close-knit bond she so evidently shares with Jackson and August.
