In a surprising twist, Leon Brown, the child of "Sister Wives" stars Kody and Meri Brown, secretly married their partner Audrey Kriss last year without inviting their father. Obtained marriage documents detail the self-solemnized ceremony in October 2022, underscoring the absence of their father, Kody, and sparking questions about their father-child relationship.

Leon Brown, the offspring of reality TV personalities Kody and Meri Brown from the popular show "Sister Wives," quietly exchanged vows with their long-time partner Audrey Kriss. The clandestine wedding took place almost a year ago and has remained under wraps until now.

According to a marriage certificate exclusively obtained by The U.S. Sun, the couple, who have been together for more than a year, officially became spouses on October 29, 2022. The certificate revealed that the ceremony was a self-solemnized affair, indicating that no officiant or judge presided over the union.

Instead, the couple opted to legally bind themselves through an agreement made between them. The address listed on the certificate places the wedding venue at a house in Colorado Springs, Colorado. What makes the situation even more intriguing is that the wedding took place just days after another wedding within the Brown family.

Logan Brown, the son of Kody and his ex-wife Janelle, got married to Michelle Petty on October 22, 2022, an event that saw the attendance of numerous family members, including Janelle and another of his ex-wives, Christine. However, Leon and Kriss' nuptials seemed to have taken place away from the family spotlight.

Leon and Audrey's journey to this secret union began in January 2019 when they got engaged at the Women's March in Washington, D.C. Their engagement followed two years of dating, having initially met while both attended Westminster College. Their relationship further progressed when they announced their decision to move to Denver in June 2022.

Interestingly, the absence of Kody and Meri from their child's wedding casts a shadow over the joyous occasion. Sources have confirmed that neither Meri nor Kody were present at the wedding ceremony. Meri, at the time of the wedding, was enjoying her time at Disneyland in Anaheim, California, while Kody, currently residing in Flagstaff, Arizona, was also conspicuously absent.

Embracing Identity and Family Dynamics

In a heartfelt and candid Instagram post, Leon, formerly known as Mariah, bravely shared a significant chapter of their life journey with the world. The post that captured her standing at the threshold of a doorway, wearing a casual ensemble, marked their declaration of self-discovery and transition. Leon's Instagram post read:

"Someone recently told me that I didn't have to have all of my shit figured out in order for me to share myself with the world. so here's me, definitely not having almost any of my shit figured out, to let you know that I am trans. my name is Leon, and my pronouns are they/them."

But this journey of self-discovery also meant uncovering new dimensions of themselves and learning to love those aspects. In sharing this revelation, Leon established clear boundaries, emphasizing that addressing them by their correct name and pronouns was an essential gesture of respect.

While the world celebrated this act of bravery and authenticity, a significant omission was conspicuous – the lack of acknowledgment from Leon's father. The absence of any response from Kody stirred a wave of criticism from fans, who expressed their disappointment in online forums.

Contrasting this silence, Leon's mother, Meri, demonstrated her support by liking the Instagram post. Meri's acceptance and solidarity with her child were widely appreciated by fans who recognized the journey of understanding and growth she had undertaken.

The divide in Leon and Kody's relationship reportedly deepened after Leon's gender-affirming surgery. Family sources have disclosed that Kody vehemently disapproves of Leon's transition, leading to a significant rift between them. Meri, on the other hand, remains steadfast in her support for their child.

Leon's partner also embarked on a journey of self-discovery. Audrey, who came out as transgender, revealed their pronouns as they/them. In a poignant message to their followers, Audrey expressed a mix of excitement and fear, highlighting the courage it takes to embrace one's authentic self.
