Ardalan Esmaili and his fiancée Evin Ahmad are both very busy Sweden-based actors. They are not a celebrity pairing to declare their love on social media, but their feelings do come through when doing press for their mutual projects.

After meeting during a regional theatre production, they have known each other for a dozen years. The couple have recently shared a more comprehensive timeline of their relationship.

In an uncharacteristic moment of candor, the couple, who stepped onto the Swedish Elle Gala red carpet in coordinated monochrome in April 2023, confirmed their engagement that took place in 2020. Ahmad said:

"We have been together for eight years. We have known each other for twelve, thirteen years. "

The Couple Respects Each Other Professionally, but There Has Been a Moment of Possessiveness

It is a "great luxury" for Ahmad to work with her paramour, and she thinks he is "a great actor." She considers it "an advantage" that they are in the same profession:

"We see it as a passion rather than a job, and sharing that passion adds a lot to the relationship. The only downside in this case is that it's going well for both of us. We've been apart a lot, but we have to adjust to life afterward."
