During an interview, when questioned about her upbringing as a person of mixed-race background, Havana expressed that she had never known anything other than being of mixed heritage. She conveyed that her usual or everyday life was a blend of diverse components that came together to create a unified whole.

Furthermore, she elaborated that her life experiences had proven beneficial in her fashion industry career, enabling her to grasp and appreciate different people with their various cultures and how they interact.

She explained that New York provided ample opportunities to immerse oneself in diverse experiences and cultures at any given time. According to her, this exposure played a pivotal role in shaping her career. She was fortunate to have a life enriched by many experiences and cultures.

Havana reminisced about how, in the past, she used to select outfits for her mother to wear at various events.

The Chinese-American stated that she has never been defined solely by her heritage and identifies as a person of multiple cultures and as queer.

According to the multifaceted artist, she emphasized that her own body provides her with a sense of belonging and comfort. She explained that she learned to embrace and care for her body as an integral part of herself.

Besides modeling, Havana is an actress; she attended an arts-focused school with many actors. She has starred in projects such as "The Sky Is Everywhere," "Mayday," "The Chair Sarah, and "No Exit," in which she co-starred with Paul Greene and David Rysdahl.

Havana Rose Liu's Parents Met in College

Even though Havana now has an established career in the entertainment industry, she revealed that she never intended to become an actor. While her parents, Carley and David, went to film school, they chose an entirely different career path.

Havana's parents, Carley and David, met while undergraduates at New York University. They married in 1993 and embarked on their first entrepreneurial venture in 1995, which involved creating CD-ROMs for brands like the Smithsonian. Subsequently, in 1996, they founded their business, "The Knot.".
