Foster Came Out as Gay

Fans expressed interest in what role Foster would play in her recent film because she came out as gay in real life several years ago. In January 2013, the filmmaker attended the Golden Globe Awards, where she addressed her sexuality for the first time publicly.

However, the California native noted that it was not entirely the first time she had mentioned it, as she had come out to people she previously crossed paths with. She felt like she needed to reveal it to the media.

Foster said she is gay while accepting her Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award and stated it was the "end of an era." Fans later took to social media asking whether she had retired from showbiz, but she responded by saying she had not done so.

Foster, who starred in “Panic Room” with Jared Leto, made a rare public appearance in May 2023 as she was spotted out and about with her child, Kit, and wife, Alexandra Hedison, in New York City.

The two-time Academy Award winner's son reportedly towered over her. The trio was seen stopping by several storefronts for drinks.

In addition to her youngest son, Kit, Foster is also a mother to her eldest son, Charles. However, there is no information about who their birth father is.

In January 2013, the mother of Foster's best friend, Reverend Beverly Bates, claimed her child, late producer Randy Stone, told her the Hollywood star plans to tell the boys who their father is once they turn 21.
